Okay, Honestly, this article really FREAKED ME OUT.

    http://www.q-notes.com/960/gay-dj-put-on-house-arrest-for-second-hiv-violation/

    http://www.q-notes.com/702/raleigh-man-pleads-guilty-to-hiv-health-law-violation/

Anyone still believe that "healthy looking" hot guys don't have AIDS? Next time, think before hooking up.

This is the SECOND time he did this, read the second article. It talks about how do people know what the other person's sexual status is true.

He PURPOSELY try to infect others and he get a MONTH in probatation?

Since when does pre-mediated MURDER get probation? Oh that's right, this only affect the gays so who cares.

Granted what he is doing is wrong but why is ALL the blame being placed on him?

If you hook up with a stranger and CHOOSE to have unprotected sex then you should be willing to weigh the consquences. If you don't care to protect yourself and your health then why should someone else?

Now if he were a serial rapist then he should be maimed, etc. but no one made these people have unprotected sex with them. I bet his logic is "if they didn't care to ask when why should I care to tell them?"

There's a large difference between being involuntarily stupid, and knowing but not caring.

The blame should be placed entirely on him.

is it just me or does anyone else feel that the blame
should be shared. Why didn't the other guy insist on wearing a condom?

No because those people CHOSE to have unprotected sex. The general public knows the consequences/dangers of having unprotected sex. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve what he's getting or even worse. What I'm saying is that the people that WILLINGLY slept with him (unprotected might I add) were playing with fire and more often than not you'll get burned.

It takes two to fuck...him and someone else (apparently 3 different people!)....That he had unprotected sex is wrong and maybe deadly, but there was at least one another consenting adult involved each time, that should have also been involved in the acts of sex.... If they were not involved in consensual sex, then it was rape...which is a crime, consensual sex is not a crime...even when other STD's are passed.... This guy is being railroaded and given a scarlet letter...not right.icon_mad.gif

In this day, no one should be having unprotected sex...no matter what. I found out the hard way, when a friend failed to inform me the condom had ripped and did not stop. Believe it or not, I have forgiven him. Life goes on...What he and the guy in the article did was not right and they must face their Maker on Judgement Day.

Maybe he decided to take off his condom during the act. The other guys might not know. Maybe he lied about his HIV+ status.

Yes, part of the blame should be on the people who had sex with him BUT the large part is he did not tell them especially when it can detrimentally affect the other person's health.

I am just sick of this whole apathetic view on HIV and Why did they decide to have unprotected sex with him. It's a really important issue affecting the gay community. You might think that it could never happen to you BUT it can happen though. The line between who's HIV+ and HIV- is very thin and you never know.

I am not blaming on the guy being HIV+, but i'm blaming him for lying about his status when there are other people involved.

    THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE.

This is nothing new, it's been going on for over 25 years, and yes it is premeditated murder.

Those guys go in without knowing that he was HIV+ or he lied. I think they wouldn't have sex if they know that he's HIV+. Condoms can break or leak. Alot of risks are involved even with a condom.

I wouldn't blame the guy so much if they decided to have sex with him knowing that he's HIV+.

The point of the article is to make a point that regarding sex, YOU SHOULD TRUST NOONE even if they say that they are clean.

If he has the intent to cum inside of someone knowing he's positive, I don't think you can blame it on two, you can only blame it on him. Like if you called my mother a whore and I shot you....you started it, but I finished it.

'murder' only happens when the party being killed gets no say in the matter.... reckless behavior? sure! murder???? laughable.... protect yourself and no one can 'murder' you with sex.

and since when did anybody believe that HIV status can be predicted by looking at someone? 28 years into the epidemic and we're still approaching HIV with disbelief instead of behavioral changes? OMG...

You got people out there trying soooooo sooo soo hard to stop the spread of HIV.Yet, There are still dumbasses out there that don't care about others and themselfs. I can't stand callous people! Yes, Joshua Waldon Weaver should have told the people that he slept with ,that he was HIV+ or atleast wore fucking protection. For the others that didn't wear protection. That is what they fucking get and That's one big slap on the hand they will never forget.Because,Imagine if Josh would have never brought up that he had sex with those guys. I bet those guys out there would start infecting others without even knowing it. Then they would be blamed for not wearing protection,Not getting tested and being callous like Joshua Waldon Weaver.

On the other hand. I do have a little sympathy for those men. They probably thought he was a cool guy,but you can't always trust people. You got to wrap your shit up!! icon_razz.gif lol

    Ex.
My grandma told me that her co worker was Infected because he thought he could trust his boyfriend of 10 years. Boyfriend goes to amtersdamn, cheats with another man, comes back to germany and infects his boyfriend without even knowing.

gahhh I'm sooo sleepy so I hope everything came out right and not soo bitchy!!!.

Yes and when some-one dies because of your reckless behaviour, it then becomes murder.

This brings to mind another thread on here (though I'm sure there's more) which I commented on: http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/665168/ There is NO EXCUSE to be uninformed in 2009. None.

Though I do believe this guy is guilty for having known and not said anything, I also believe the other parties involved were negligent for not insisting on protection - and clearly didn't value their health in the face of whatever fun they were having. Disclosure doesn't mean shit. Never has and never will. History has proven people will lie to each other about anything for any number of "reasons".

I would insist on protection - in any state of mind (I've been plenty drunk and high before - pahh-leese!). There is simply no excuse, period, unless they were raped or otherwise taken advantage of. I don't care how hot ANYONE IS. It is one matter I trust no one on. Period.

If you've ever lived to watch your friends die of this illness before - let me assure you - it makes the matter starkly clear. DON'T BE STUPID - BE SAFE. /end rant/

He failed to notify his partners that he was HIV+

Okay, we can debate whether or not he should have told his sexual partners. We can debate that the other people are just as responsible for their own health. We can debate that he is a potential murderer.

But the fact is that he violated his probation by not using a condom during sex.

So the house arrest thing if for the VOP.

I know several guys that were infected by this guy. They all have similar stories, before he was first caught- spun them tales of how much he was into them, several thought they were in a relationship too. He even had one guy believing that he was a virgin. His act of infecting others is only part of the games he's played with people's lives.
