It would be nice to know what the criteria were. Iīm presently thinking of being in Amsterdam or Barcelona (or maybe, just maybe London, Montreal or some unknown place)... Being in a place where I have the same marriage rights as other tax payers is kinda important to me.

Is that your list or George Michael's? If it were George Michael's, I think #1 would be in the park.

No mention of Canada....(and we know that is where all the hot guys are, along with Holland and Spain. Hi Charlitos ) I guess it must have been done on night life or something equally jejune. For a start I would drastically lower in the rankings any place which did not give full rights to GLBT people: I donīt give a fuck if there are 25 saunas to chose from and a huge flamboyant pride parade if we are treated like second rate citizens. So, come to the front of the queue anywhere in The Netherlands Belgium Canada Spain, Norway Sweden South Africa

South Africa has the most liberal constitution in the world and is the fourth country to recognise same-sex marriages (first one in Africa). But there is a flip side to it. Lesbians in rural areas heavily targeted for their sexual preferences. The Christians in the country are also trying to roll back the laws. Cape Town is awesome. I sometimes spot same sex couples holding hands while shopping. It's pretty much the same in the other major cities.

I'd propose Wilton Manors, Florida, which it seems everyone is gay, from the Mayor to most of the business owners. Rainbow flags everywhere, a place where holding hands and other PDAs on the sidewalks are normal.
"Wilton Manors is known as a gay village, and ranks 3rd in the U.S. for its percentage of gay residents as a proportion of total population. The Fort Lauderdale area ranks 4th in metro areas (per capita). Neighboring Oakland Park is ranked sixth on the list. Wilton Manors has approximately 1270% more gay men per capita than the national average."
A relatively small town itself, it adjoins Fort Lauderdale with its gay beach & guest houses, and Miami Beach is only 35 miles away. Disney World at Orlando, or Key West gay resorts are less than a 5-hour drive away to the North or South, respectively, and the biggest Caribbean cruise port is also just 30 minutes away.

Hi Lostboy! Agreed. Visiting Montreal was like being a raised by wolves and stumbling upon civilization. Glorious, glorious, half naked civilization. Montreal, je vous adore!

1. San Francisco 2. Sydney 3. New York 4. Mykonos 5. Paris 6. Barcelona 7. Amsterdam 8. London 9. Copenhagen 10. Berlin I;m sorry but if you say Sydney, over Melbourne, and not mention Melbourne at all, I know you have never been here. For one Melbourne is Australia's most livable City, and we now have many queens leaving Sydney to come and live in Melbourne, as we have something Sydney does not, "quality of life." Face it, whats the point of living in Sydney if you don't have a harbour View, non at all. Also Melbourne is becoming, if not come Australia's gay hub. Also The feel of Melbourne, and it's people is more like SF, and the feel and the people of Sydney is more like LA. Just saying. I only need one, and I already live there in one of the worlds most livable Cities: Melbourne.
