As a person who works with Africa regularly, including having visited countries bordering Somalia, I have several doubts about this article. Old men marrying young women in Somalia isn't the issue. It's everything from the part of Somalia this is in, to the fact that it is difficult enough to live to 112 in the west, much less a war torn country which has one of the major military fronts running through where this guy lives. There is also the issue that when real news happens in Somalia (ie a battle between clans, flooding, etc) happen in Somalia, it takes 1 - 2 weeks to get the news story out, and the only reason is because the UN goes looking for that kind of news and pays to get it out. Now the BBC can so easily do a "feel good" (notice the quotes people) like this? Something ain't right here.

Caucasian, Asian, Hispanic Secondly, where I live it is 48.7% white and 44.7% black, so I think I have a pretty good idea about what both races look like as they age. Norfolk.gov

What is also odd is that his oldest son is 80 (or is that, '80'?). No children before 32? (Though I suppose that older children could have died by now, the article makes no mention of that.) Anyhow, I guess we can all be relieved that he waited - many years - for her to reach 17 rather than, um, rob the cradle....

That's why you should ALWAYS put on some Sun Block spf45, and limit your sun-exposure.

That's why you should ALWAYS put on some Sun Block spf45, and limit your sun-exposure. true...my mom is actually in her 50s and she still looks 15 years younger. Its funny as once we were in manhattan and shes in shape and goes to the gym regularly and we were in macys at the mac counter and her hands was in my arms..and the women kept looking at us and whispering....and finally when she got her makeup the lady asked if that was my girlfriend....and i said no ..she my mom ..cant you tell we look alike.
