So how many guys here play or have played ultimate frisbee? I went to my first real UPA tournament this weekend in Berea Kentucky... it was mainly college club teams playing against each other and was a lot of fun...

I can safely say ive never been this hurt or muddy from ultimate in my playing career.... so any guys here play for their club team at their university? or any non-collegiate club teams?

I love Ultimate Frisbee. But it just sucks that I have never been in a team. The only time I play was with a bunch of friends at a park.

Used to play in college. Went to Carleton, where we had 3.5 frisbees per capita, including dogs, and men's and women's nationally ranked top 3 teams.

I didn't play on those. But I did play on several IM teams. Was a blast.

I play as much as I can. Not really good enough to go beyond pickup games though.

Its quite a workout and also relatively injury free (at least compared to things like basketball and soccer) - its the most non-contact sport I can think of where opponents occupy the same space.

ive seen plenty of torn acls during ultimate and also a broken ankle... so i dont know if you can say its injury free... very high pace game with a lot of motion.. injuries are just bound to happen...

it's a great sport. i started in college and played on club teams in seattle and in washington dc. it's pretty cool how the game keeps evolving as better athletes get involved. on the higher levels, lots of interesting strategy and complicated zone defenses. great workout and a lot of fun.

Raleigh/Durhman has a huge Ultimate Frisbee following. One of the reasons I love living here. During the summer(when if doesn't get dark at 5pm) you can find a game any day of the week. Even during the winter you can play almost every day if you don't work or have flexible hours.
