I call them 'Instability Shoes'

I got a pair of Skecher's Shape Ups. It's an odd shoe that gives you the feel of walking in sand or on grass so your weight is shifting atop your ankles more than in a regular shoe.

So far I've walked daily an hour or so, run a little(not recommended) and slow run the stadium steps. My glutes, hamstrings and calves feel the work.

I'm planning to try squats in them tomorrow, very carefully.

Anybody else using these shoes or the originals called MBT?

I saw the commercial for those a while ago, and they seemed a little gimmicky. But if they work for you, then that's cool.

Although, I'm not sure it's a good idea to do squats in those. The added weight could prematurely wear down the cushioning properties of the soles.

How's them shoes so far? Do you think their worth it? I've been debating if I should get a pair or not.
