Hello! So through a change in my diet and moderate exercise I have gone from ~225 lbs last Christmas time down to ~188 lbs today. Almost 40 lbs!

I have never stepped foot in a gym though, and unfortunately I have noticed myself getting a little scrawny, and so have other people. They say they can see my ribs lol.

I'm 6' 4" so I feel 188lbs is a good level to start building up some muscle since I have pretty much none.

I don't really know how it works. I still have some fat, but if I weight train hard (which I plan to) then it can turn into muscle? or somthing..? lol

I have free access to an amazing 4 story gym at my university. I went in but felt completely lost and didn't really know what to do.

Do I get to start drinking protein smoothies and stuff too? I just wanna get big muscles and fill in this loose skin from many years of being overweight. I totally have the time and dedication!

Any advice on how to workout and supplement my goal?
