The lady speaking is from the Democratic Women's Caucus and is arguing that the proposed HCR bill would benefit women. Do you agree that Tom Price is just shooting her down because she a Democrat and a woman? Or is he just an asshole and it has nothing to do with him being a Republican?

This sounded and was rude as hell !!! This seems to me to be one of the repugs tactics to slow down the process of getting a bill passed? what kind of a selfish child like adult uses such tactics in a public forum. People like this are an embarassment to our governing process. I hope his voters at home get a video of this.

It's the House version of a filibuster. You've not watched enough C-Span! :-)

Have no fear, his Republican base will applaud his efforts to prevent another Member of Congress from speaking, as southbeach1500 has already done right here, when he misstates the Rules of the House. Remember, this is the party of the Townhall Terrorists, who support suppression of any speech that doesn't agree with them. This is all eerily like what the Nazis did in the 1920s and early 30s in Germany, seizing control of the government without a clear majority.

The players may be different, but the tactics are the same, as any student of history knows. I fear for our democracy.

You're all bordering on psychotic with your defense of all things Democrat.

Democrats have done the same thing - I remember it during the Clinton / Lewinsky mess, don't you?

Sheesh!

Actually, no, I don't. Perhaps you are the one who is psychotic.

Please point to examples of House rules being violated by Democrats during the Lewinsky episode. Please point to examples of Democrats suppressing public discourse, as we see with Republican Townhall Terrorists.

What acts of terror were done at the town hall meetings this summer? Was there a bombing I wasn't aware of? Were hostages taken and I happened to miss that on the evening news?

Please don't think me rude, but I am going to be blunt. Look it up yourself.
I'm not going to spend hours looking through youtube and c-span archives to find examples of the Democrats acting the same way during the Lewinsky saga.

I'm laughing at this clip because the guy sounds kind of like Peter Griffin, and he's acting just as annoying.

How convenient. Make a claim, decline to back it up, then tell the rest of us to prove your own point for you.

BIG FAIL!

It's that whole infantile schoolyard taunting thing that stands in for actual political argument among Republicans.

It's on a par with their notion of humor, which tends to be dull, obvious, angry and unfunny. (see Limbaugh, Beck, Coulter, etc.)

There's nothing "Democratic" about today's Democrat party.

The party of "a woman's right to choose" is also the party of "you have no choice and MUST spend your money on a health care plan that we the government approve."

Oh F-in Mother of God... Hows about all those years that we've had to spend far more than the health care plan will cost on useless and futile wars????

I see RJ's resident loon is still at it.

I don't really get the point of his constant whining. Does he imagine that everyone will see the light and change their political orientation because of his ranting?

It's all just masturbation, apparently. At least I don't have to see it (except when someone quotes him: Thanks a lot, steltom! lol)

the demographic most likely to be socially conservative and Republican is white men. I actually am a little taken aback when when I meet a white man that admits to being a Democrat. The RNC is all about white male entitlement, with some Phyllis Schlaffly type women thrown out there for window dressing...

What was the percentage of white men that voted for President Obama? Something like 30%...

Excuse me for being a bit slow, but Southbeach1500 has nothing in the profile to indicate that he is a valid member. Forgive me if I am wrong in my opinion that this poster is probably an outsider meant to harass and disrupt. Draw your own conclusions!

The animosity between Republicans and Democrats hasn't been as bad since the Civil War. At that time, the Republicans were more liberal (anti-slavery, anti-secession) than the Democrats. The Democratic party was remade by FDR. There are many more conservatives in the US than Republicans right now. Not so many people want to associate with the party. We have a two -party system which is not very robust. The behavior of members of either party is always good fodder, but I am more concerned about the inability to do anything substantive in the face of major problems.

Agreed. Count me in with the folks who think the man on tape is downright rude and disrespectful. Such a person deserves to be interrupted when his time comes up.

And a cowardly guy too. He has used the "Ignore His Posts" link because he doesn't have the strength to have his views challenged.

I mean, come on, what kind of MAN is jprichva that he continues to attack and insult me and he hides behind "ignore his posts" so that he can't read anything I post in my own defense?

Not that I mind... but it does seem quite cowardly. Just imagine if I had done what he did. You'd all be flogging me to no end on here.

Seems to me that his ignoring of you has served its purpose. You seem to be quite upset about this fact
