It's Osama, not Obama

I organise movie screening at a college. Early in the year, I put up a notice of the movie screening of the week entitled 'Osama' ( a brilliant movie about the Taliban rule in Afghanistan before US invasion). The next day, a kitchen staff came up to me and sounded very impressed. She asked how I managed to get a movie on Obama so soon after the election.

I had to politely tell her that she misread Osama for Obama!

Well, I don't know her, but partly in her defense.....how many times has she seen the word "Obama" compared to "Osama" lately? Your mind see what it is used to. Otherwise no one would get stumped on those word tricks, like how many times does the word 'the' appear....etc.

I once told my boss I was late coming back from lunch because the escalator got stuck between floors. He said OK and that was the end of it. icon_lol.gif

It's funny. I'm on the mailing list at Omaha Steaks. Everytime I get an email from them, I think "Obama Steaks?".

For many years I'm accidentally said, "I've gotta check a cash."
