    - Expensive watches are always nice.

    - Tickets to something he REALLY wants to see - maybe a concert or sporting event?

    - The latest tech gadgets... Does he have a Wii?

I would suggest buying him whatever you like--that always works for me, Recruit. Best thing about boyfriends is that even if he's not that into it, you get to have it by default. icon_twisted.gif

Sex, caviar and Guitar Hero - in that order for my man this year.

Also a few shirts and some toys...

I got a dog last year, so I was set. this year I want a new mixer - not for cooking.

Guitar hero would be a freaking sweet gift, but I prefer the thoughtful and that makes me swoon. Somebody tell my boyfrined that so he doesnt buy me clothes or something expensive. Show him you listen and pay attention to what he likes by getting him something inciteful.

A getaway weekend or something you guys can do or enjoy together is also a great idea. Like buy a partial season to his favorite sports team, that rocks.

One of my friends got his boyfriend skydiving lessons and then they are going for a dive with his best friends. Memories like that last forever.

I bought my man his last tattoo last year, which also lasts forever.

Not to sound cheesy, but we get eachother a christmas ornament every year. Each year when we decorate the tree we look back amd think of the christmases we spent together. Cheap sentimental.

Threeways also make nice gifts Rocco...

Well DJ Bens... whenever u are ready for that gift you just let me know!

On the real though... When i'm in a relationship and i want to get a special gift i think back to something mentioned from my bf's childhood and get that. Whether its a certain book, a specific toy, DVD of a favorite show etc. Like... I liked He Man when i was a kid... and the only gift i ever wanted, and never got, was the Eternia play set. If a guy got me that... i might just cry!

One of my exes bought me a hustler for my birthday. Or at least he planned to, but he'd forgotten than we had opera tickets the same night. He wanted to reschedule it but I thought the whole thing too creepy.

i would hope that you know what your boyfriend really wants. You should be able to know from what he has said the last few months about what he is interested in or wants.

I like to feed into hobbies. For example, art supplies, outdoor equipment, electronics, stuff that your man can enjoy in his down time.

StripperRocco: only if you wear red and green ones that day. Have to be festive for the holidays, ya know. ;)

And yeah, I agree with danielryan...it's the little nuanced things that often matter most. That said, sexy undies always work. StripperRocco, I'll send my address. icon_razz.gif

Well, what counts most is that you take the time and heart to try and get him something. I think that he'll appreciate that alot: the thought is what counts. Even if I get a gift from a parent or friend that is kind of lame it still makes my face light up bc they took enough time to think about me. This will actually be my first Christmas single since I was 18 so icon_sad.gif . But oh well. Hm, here are some thoughts though:

    - a puppy
    - I always love nice sweaters
    - UNDERWEAR. Maybe its just me but I love all sorts of cool looking underwear
    - Shoes. If you know his size. A gay guy can never have enough shoes wheter its a pair of Nike Shox to work out in to a pair of nice dress shoes to work.
    - A girl at work today got a certificate to a Spa for a massage and facial and all that good stuff. Get him something like that to go and relax.
    - Im sure I could list alot but Im not here to write a book. lol. Anything that is hobby related to him.

Merry Christmas and good luck hunting for gifts. icon_biggrin.gif

Does a christmas gift have to be somthing tangable?
My other half spends most of his free time here in NYC but he has never seen the Statue of Liberty, we always make plans to go but never have....So im booking this helicopter tour to take us around the city and circle the statue of liberty at night, I feel like thats more of a V day type of gift but it was the best I could think of.

I got my ex me in a big red bow one year, and some sweaty sex in the living room. Because that's really really what he wanted most.

Got us co-training sessions at the gym one year.

Whatever makes him happy. One year for valentine's day my ex took me to the science museum. Dorky? Yes. Best v-day gift ever? Also yes.

Wow. Very nice gift Diver. I suck at being creative. I used to be so good at coming up with really original ideas for gifts and now I suck. lol.

Mostly, I make things. Last year most of my friends got baskets of homemade pickles and jellies and syrup.
