Just on CNN, he wants to know more, and just what the plan is to get the Afghans to take over their own country.

YEAH! Now we're talking. Bring 'em home!

I would guess that the top envoy to Afghanistan stating emphatically that sending more troops would be the absolute wrong thing to do given the inherent corruption and instability of the Karzai government might have had something to do with this...

It would be nice to see a REAL change in foreign policy, and bring all the troops AND contractors back... NOW.

"timetable withdrawal" are just terms to distract the public from the reality of occupation and imperialism.

it's a pointless war, with no good or benevolent aims, and it's a crime against the peace, against humanity, and is a war of aggression, as defined by the Nuremberg tribunals.

ALL NATO states that have taken part in this war, including Canada, are complicit in its crimes, and we just all need to leave now.

that is the ONLY way to peace, and the ONLY way for Afghans to run Afghanistan.

Yes because NATO, is losing the battle, it's not gone the way they hoped. So long as the Aussie and Australian troops are home before the Americans; after all it's your backs we are watching, and if America had never of trained them to fight the Russians, they would never of turned that training, and weapons on America. So now we can look back and now know Russia was never the threat America made it out to be, they was just competition.

A lot of the troops there are pretty down, and angry over the slowness of the president. They are performing very well, but things won't get put on the right path unless the people feel safe. The corruption in the government won't get better, and support from the people will not happen unless the people feel safe, and they don't right now. Giving the general what he needs would put things on the right path.

Its been way too long, Obama should have made a decision awhile ago. If he doesn't want to send more troops, he should just bring everyone home. Keeping them there without the support they need is a poor mistake, not to mention all of the time he's wasted will only make things harder for the general if he sends them.

It seems he's been more worried about being hated on by the anti-war people, instead of really listening to the people out there fighting the fight... Especially when during the election he saw Afghanistan as "the right war" Yet he's not making it easy for the generals, and the troops to win the war.

Everyone there feels we can win it, which starts off by making the people feel safe.. Our allies are pulling out, because we're giving them the vibe that we're not committed to win.

Sorry to say, but this president is not winning many points with me. With this mainly, having been there and having people I care about there.. It makes me very angry.
