I was wondering if anybody has used these. I need a good solution in my home gym to the old-school dumbells that you have to spin off the bars every time you need to switch the weights for a new set. It's a time-waster and just a general pain in the ass. I always thought these were cool but would love opinions before I buy because they are pricey.

The ones in the pic are Bowflex SelectTechs.

I have Bowflex 552 with stand. I fully recommend them. 1090 are good if you know you will need that much weight.

If you are serious about training at home and need a free weight dumbbell system, I highly recommend this Bowflex product. Smooth quick transitions, the weights aren't cumbersome and it is just overall a good product.

I love these things and they're a life saver for those who have minimal space.

the selecttech 1090s are on sale at amazon.com for $299... Pretty damn good deal that I'd take if you're serious.

So my parents gave me a set of these for Christmas, used them in my workout for the first time this morning and they are AWESOME!
