This is a really random question:

Do multivitamins ever go bad or become non-consumable? I mean.. I know they eventually expire but.. do they ever go bad? I've had these "Ultra Mega Gold w/o iron" that come in a gold plastic bottle from GNC and well, it's been a while since I haven't taken them and they have been in my truck almost all summer in 100 degree heat and they have been exposed to the sun also (sunlight through the window).. would they still be good? It's been a long time.

It may sound dumb but yeah.. i've been wondering.

Also, which multivitamin(s) would you recommend?

    Is there a certain type?

The ones I got have over 40 ingredients.

I would throw that bottle away. I don't think they can go "bad", as in make you sick, but they could certainly have lost a lot of potentcy (that's why I assume they have expiry dates in the first place).

I believe a proper diet should give you all you need in the way of vitamins so personally I wouldn't recommend any multi-vitamins at all (I do however take other supplements - like glucosamine & garlic).

According to our nutritionist, a decent generic MV with Minerals is all you need. Not some hyped-up mega-marketed stuff. Your body doesn't know one brand of vitamin E from another. As long as it has the MDR's covered, that's it.

We get ours from Costco - cheap as hell - and our blood work and physical exams all come back just fine.

I would use diet tracking software to see what nutrients you are getting plenty of and what you are deficient in.

    I like Cron-O-Meter.

Vitamins can just be expensive urine color if you don't have any nutritional deficiencies.

The vitamin I like best is
