So what does everyone think of this seasons project runway? I really wasnt that impressed with the designer this season. Irena is probbly the most talented but shes wasn't too friendly all the time.

Project runway needs to go back to Bravo

It was a big mistake for PR to go to Lifetime. All these people in the show are lame, they don't have a concept of what a "designer" is, and even Heidi has been looking more like she got a makeover from Dress Barn than from Dolce & Gabbana. You can tell even Nina's bored with what she saw out there. DON'T BORE NINA!!!
I switched over to the local news....icon_neutral.gif

Yes, it is lame this season. Even Nina would admit that. The biggest let down is the designers however, you can't really blame the show for that, other than they picked some mediocre designers.

The reason why Michael and Nina were not involved so much is because of the new location, and also the legal disputes and issues regarding having it on Lifetime. It should be better by next season which actually should be coming up pretty soon. Nina said she was disappointed that her and Michael were not on location that often, so she will want to make sure she is more involved next season.

I think they have already started filming the new season.

I think Christian is the most successful winner currently. There is tons of information out there on the web about each and every one of them.

    OH. Research.
I saw Christian on Ugly Betty, he's so tiny.
    Thanks
    Rami was really cute.

If anyone is interested to know the truth (versus public speculation) about PR, please feel free to email me. Thanks.

I'm not sure that it is because of the network change. I think that the designers aren't as good and the challenges weren't as exciting.

It's true that "Project Runway" has a new producing team. But give them props for retaining the basic elements, like the runway set. I read Heidi was a bit disappointed that virtually everything was the same, right down to the music.

If you don't think that matters, consider what Bravo did with its replacement series. Just my opinion, but I thought it was awful. Isaac Mizrahi was a real tool as the host.

Next season they are back in New York (already shot), with Nina and Michael once again making a steady (and bitchy) contribution as judges. That's direct from Nina.

I happen to agree with many of the posters here that the designs this time out were not up to the standards of seasons past. Who really knows how that happens? At least the designers weren't asked to dress the models in leaves and twigs as in previous seasons.

I haven't agreed with the judges on any of the past winners. Some of the finalists who proved themselves to be craftsmen were pushed aside in favor of contestants with little more to offer than chutzpah. I was rooting for Christopher because he seemed to want it so much. And then there's Logan.

    Damn, he's hot.

This season? Meh. I actually think PR Australia and PR Canada are better than what you've gotten on Lifetime TV. Well for the Queens who've contributed to this thread so far, did you agree with the decision in the PR All-Star Challenge? I thought they were being cute with the decision but it should've been Korto's.

PR is a gay show and it belongs on a gay network: Bravo!

My two favorite designers throughout all the series would be Uli and Kenley. Both finale collections from these two were spectacular.

Anyone else felt that Irena's collection was just terrible? Every single pieced looked the same to me.

As an update, per Tim Gunn in an LA Times interview on 11/16/09, the home visits for Season 7 is being taped right now. That's how far along they are with Season 7.

Pretty much nothing...like celticmusl said, the only successful winner was Christian but even he had his 15 minutes (mostly through Ugly Betty). The truth is that most of the designers on that show (with a minor exception to few) aren't even that talented and get most of their inspiration from other designers (Siriano's spring '10 collection was a straight up copy of McQueen and Lanvin spring '09). PR, ANTP, and a bunch of competition reality shows rarely build long term fame/careers.
