So... this year coming I want to work hard enough that I can put my name out there and be a model. I know I'm tattooed to hell and all that, but there's a niche out there I think. So... here goes nothing!

What kind(s) of effort do you think you will have to put forth to qualify for being a model?

But a model for what? They've got kids in swimsuits even in adds for lab equipment icon_rolleyes.gif So yeah, there must be a niche or two that you could fit.

Of course, I would think that you could probably do a lot of "conventional" modeling without exposing (many of?) the tats. Maybe that's not a big factor?

It's my sincere hope that you reach the goal that you seek. It'd be cool to see you on spread in some magazine. icon_wink.gif

You know buddy, modeling is tough but is do-able. You're a great looking man, beautiful body and seem to have a great personality.

I've done some modeling and recently shot a TV Pilot. It all comes slow but if you hit it with the attitude that you're doing it for fun, you will have a great time doing it. You're obviously not shy, so your personality should shine through.

Good luck with it and keep that body beautiful!

You have a look that can translate into modeling
...but you're gonna have to get yourself outta Dodge my man
Columbus ain't gonna do it for you
You're gonna have to get yourself showcased in one of the major markets
esp with the edgier look that you have
Take a look at Chicago LA Miami and NY is probably your best bet
Get a few good pictures together that can show some versatility and take the show on the road

I used to model in San Francisco starting in college and into my 30s - for clients including Structure, Hastings, Bullocks and I. Magnin & Co. Here's what I did: Started out just doing occasional weekend runway work for charity things with a few other waterpolo players from Stanford - just for little extra money as students. I then got a portfolio together, and took it around to agents until I found a good one with connections to Bullocks who liked blue eyed blond guys, and was reputable. I modeled around my school hours, and then intermittently around work hours after graduation. It was fun - and while I certainly wasn't any kind of "super model" by any stretch, I had my fun - mostly doing menswear. If I can help you out, just let me know. Good luck!

Efforts: The first is the obvious since i posted it on this site. Fitness and nutrition changes. Cutting and bulking and shaping the muscles etc. Keeping a clear goal in mind and forming the right workouts and diet plans to maintain and attain that.

Find a few decent photographers who will work with me cheap! Float around ideas to each, having some more artistic shots done, some more "commercial", etc etc etc

What kind of modeling: Though i've always entertained doing adult modeling, i'm not exactly sure that that is what i want. I would LOVE to be hot enough to model underwear and swimwear, and maybe even leather wear (I think the tattoos would be fine in THAT arena :twistedicon_smile.gif, workout wear... hell any "wear" for magazines like DNA out of Australia, OUT, Genre, and Instinct.

Beyond that, who wouldn't want to model for Versace or Dolce... but you know... one step at a time icon_wink.gif

    Great goal!

I think you can do it. Be careful about who you model for though. Sometimes some xposure just leads to more porn modeling, unless you are down for that.

I think the tattoos will work in your favgor. There is definately a niche for you. Try the gay mags like you said.

    Good luck!
