This corroborates an elaborate theory I've been constructing: some people are really fucked up!

It's horrific. But according to a forensic psychologist's article I was reading somewhere, "overkill" is usually a part of hate crimes .. like stabbing someone far more times than it takes to kill them. Of course some of the drug gangs in Mexico near here were decapitating people I think to terrorize people who stood against them.

Maybe someone will give more details soon.

This is for mostly here: but,
I hate to prescribe a person affect something they aren't, but teens in High School obviously need to. There will be plenty of time after they've left THAT TOWN to be as flamboyant as they want. The fact I had to say that is just further proof for school reform. They are literally raising monsters by not teaching morals, disciplining, or fostering the value of equality among the student body.

This will never, ever happen. Parents have largely abandoned teaching their children morals. Plus, many parents are afraid to discipline their kids these days due to fear. But when you even approach the idea that teachers should teach morals and character development, there is a huge outcry from the parents: "What if I don't agree with what my teacher tells my child?! I don't know what he/she believes!! That can't happen!" Well, sweetie, if you're not going to do your job and teach values to your child like you're supposed to, don't be upset when someone else is asked to fill in for you. It's a lose-lose situation. Teachers should not be asked or expected to teach those things. They are inherently the parents' responsibility. It is the fault of the parents for raising children who are so misbehaved and misguided. The teachers are there to teach within a certain context, and while they should reinforce what the parents are teaching their kids, they should not be the ones introducing the kids to these concepts and seeing them through every step of the way.

Suspect Charged for Slaying in Puerto Rico

    [quote]
His other four charges include weapons violations and a count of hiding evidence, prosecutor Yaritza Carrasquillo said according to CNN.

Matos may also be charged with federal hate crime penalties, as it is highly believed that he murdered Mercado because he was gay. According to reports, Matos picked Mercado off the street, believing he was a woman. When he realized Mercado was male, an altercation began, leaving Mercado for dead on the side of a road. The U.S. Attorney's Office would determine if the federal hate crime charge would be issued against Martinez Matos.

The accused murderer, Juan Martinez Matos, has been put in the worst jail in Puerto Rico, "Las Cucharas in Ponce." They set bail of $4 million dollars that he could not give. He turned himself into the police department and he may have killed a woman before.

    message from Jorge Steven's mother:

"When my son told me he was gay, I told him, 'Now, I love you more.' I want to tell the world that hatred is not born with human beings, it is a seed that is planted by adults and is fostered creating a climate of intolerance and violence. We must change our ways and understand that anyone could have been my son. And I want everybody to know that Jorge Steven was a very much loved son."

Boy, she really nailed that. Racism, homophobia, bigotry .. it is all taught by parents and society at large. With homophobia, as long as the government panders to the dictates of the religious people instigating anti-gay laws, there will be a climate of discrimination towards Gays.
