My gaydar sucks!

How do you spot a straight-acting guy. 3 really hot guys stare at me today at the gym, not after leaving that I have realized they are checking me out. I thought they are straight so I did not look back, cuz it will weird if some straight guy thinks I'm hitting on him. Now, what should I do?

I'm in the same situation: how can I "tell" if someone is gay or not? Are there clues or tells?
    thx

Think they might have been straight as you initially guessed, and were staring because they were wondering if you're gay? What made you "realize" they were checking you out in a gay sense? It might be wiser to not do anything regarding them right now, until you have actual proof they're gay, too, and really interested.

My ex-BF let himself get tangled up with a gym guy who at first claimed he was gay and so they dated, then the guy turned around and said being gay was a sin & perversion. He reported untrue stories to the Y management about my ex and other men fondling him in the naked hot tub, and got them all suspended while an investigation was done.

They eventually got reinstated, while their accuser got tossed out. I judge gym cruising a high-risk proposition, unless the place is known to have a high gay membership, like my current one happens to have.

Um, OP... staring means 1) they think you're attractive (either in a "I want to do him" way or a "I wish I had his body" way, or 2) you have something on your face. Check #2... that leaves number 1. Even if straight guys wish they had your body, they wouldn't likely stare. That leaves those guys who want to push you up against a locker and make out.

You're gaydar is fine... it's the confidence to accept what it's telling you that needs room to grow!

    Welcome to my world.

I might be able to pick them (sometimes), but I rarely ever approach or get approached.... hah

Very simple my man. Don't hit on them. Engage in a simple conversation if your feel your gaydar might steer you wrong. Talking never really hurt anyone and by doing so you are getting all sorts of info from it.

Pay attention to body language too. Even the most trained suppressor will give something off that they didn't intended to. Could be in the eyes, tone of voice, they way they leave them self open to joke/comment. Anything really.

Of course you do have those who make your job much easier by telling the world their status and for that I guess you should be thankful.

My gaydar doesn't suck: you're a total homo. And even if you don't show your face on here, everyone already knows you're gay. Especially those guys at the gym that you think are straight.
