    Make me

I am knocked over by how good the song is, how beautiful she is and how great the choreography is. This song is pure success.

edit: video is of full version

Agree on those points, and I'm a fan of hers. But the setting left me kinda unhappy. A little too stark and unimaginative, and the digitally generated images were like 10 years ago or older.

The choreography is a little retro, and the costumes still have a bit too much "stuff" hangin off of them (much less than her last couple of album vids)... BUT it is nice to see her getting back to Janet basics. Even if she doesn't have the strongest set of pipes, we wanna hear her sing, watch her dance, and see her smile.
    At least that's all I need. icon_razz.gif

I love Janet, but the song was just okay. It seemed rehashed and too much like songs she's done in the past. Nothing innovative, fresh, or groundbreaking here in the sound, the dancing, or the video. The stuff artists like Beyonce and Rihanna are doing puts this to shame. I still love Janet, and she looks great.

Yeah, even other songs' lyrics make mention of "Janet Jackson's smile." (Liquid Dreams for one)

    Nice,

Nico (his name is something like that), Canadian Winner for "So You Think You Can Dance" is in this. Such a good dancer and good guy.

She said in her interview that she is back to writing her own music and getting back to "Janet basics" as we call it. I am hoping this is just the beginning of some great stuff to come. I Love me some Janet....I like this song...the video is ok, better than what she has been doing lately...hopefully this is just the beginning of great things to come.

She is my all time fave... *her* work is amazing. She had some interesting and really great stuff with Dupri but she is such a strong artist and a rockin' performer, I LOVES me some Ms. Janet!
I always channel her when I'm on the gogo box!

Been in love w/ it since I heard it a couple weeks ago. Glad she has visuals 4 it now.

Can't wait 2 c the new stuff she comes up w/ after #1's and "Make Me" run their course. If she's back to writing again and Darkchild and Jam & Lewis are producing the new album, I have a feeling it's gonna be more than hot. It'll be breathtaking. She's about due 4 a renaissance.

And to all those who don't believe, "Make Me" is just something to hold us over. And it sounds more like classic Janet. Her music and vocals haven't sounded this engaged and vibrant since "All For You."

I will say this once, LOL! If there was no MJ, there would be no Janet, no Janet, no Beyonce or Rihanna! Neither of them could handle Janet's energy, the complexity of the moves AND I guarantee that Janet could learn ALL of Beyonce's moves in less than a WEEK! Even Pink, when she did MISS U MUCH for the MTV Icon program years ago, said that was the hardest she'd ever danced! Janet makes it look easy! And yes I will defend to the end!

I love it. This is just a preview of what we are going to get from her next cd. In my book Janet isnt back. She never left. I love all her cd's. I admit her last cd had something missing but she still brought her special touch to it.

Janet looks amazing in this video, love the dancing. I cant wait for her new cd to come out in 2010.

If this is true, mate, why is this video and song drowned in mediocrity? I agree with CJAZ. She looks bloody beautiful, but this is hardly her best moment musically or in a video. Lady Gaga in her new "Bad Romance" video, now that's innovative.

MuchMoreThanMuscle said I can't really make out the words. It's melodic and sounds pretty but I have to strain to make out what she's saying.

Are you not a native English speaker? If you are, you exaggerating.

Looks like designer Gareth Pugh has been working. I love that he is bring back pagoda shoulders.

Needless to say, and I already have, the whole video looks great.

If my eyes are right, the man she is caressing is also in Britney's "Three" video; he gets man-handled as well.

I like the song and the video.
It feels like a Control-era video if that style were made and en vogue today. The choreography, the styling, the set, etc. She's so freakin gorgeous too!
