The Reader. It was her most mature performance to date wrought with range, power, vulnerability and risk. It asks questions about love in the face of forgiveness, forgiveness in the face of love and which one wins in the end.

She was pretty good in "The Reader," "Revolutionary Road," "The Holiday," and "The Life of David Gale." A chameleon we have on our hands here! icon_smile.gif

Ditto. Plus Patrick Wilson is hot in that movie (although SPOILER if my wife was Jennifer Connelly I don't think I would be cheating... not that I would regardless. Eh, you get the idea.)

I haven't seen "The Reader" or "Revolutionary Road" yet, but I really like her acting in both Titanic and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I'm gonna go with Branagh's "Hamlet", followed by "The Reader".

Definitely "Heavenly Creatures". It was her first movie and it was directed by Peter Jackson, who later went on to direct the "Lord of the Rings" movies.

I really enjoyed "Sense & Sensibility", too.

Actually, I like most of her movies. icon_biggrin.gif

I think she always do her best performances but I think Titanic is her best and The Reader is her second best and The holiday is the third one.

Kate Winslet is great in anything she does
But with Eternal Sunshine she had the material to just rip the screen to bits

I liked her in Sense and Sensibility also. Titanic was probably my favorite movie she was in. I did not see the Reader and only watched a few minutes of Revolutionary Road. I did not want not want to spend two hours watching a couple argue!!

eternal sunshine was a GREAT movie. really original, and kate winslet made my heart ache the whole movie

little children & revolutionary road were both great performances, and the life of david gale was just a great movie all around.

she's definitely one of my favorite actors!

Little Children, Revolutionary Road and Eternal Sunshine. I've seen Titanic so many times, I can't appreciate it any more.
