Men, (and women) doesn't it worry you when you list that you are active duty and have picts of yourselves in uniform? I have worked w/the military since the mid 80's and I know there are a few of our brothers and sisters in service. It's inevitable. Butt I mean every man, women and child appreciate the sacrifices that all our active duty have to make. I know we still can't be free w/our belief's and who we are. I just see the things that some of us are going through and see a lot of pain in the future of those that flagrantly show this stuff off in our profiles. Shit I hope I'm makin sense. I'm not being a dumb ass. Where are ya triggerman when we need ya...........

Well, I was in the military and didn't have a problem listing my status as being gay on myspace. I didn't have a problem with being in uniform on my other profiles. I just got out of the military in August under Honorable Discharge, completion of time in service. I was also out to 80% of my coworkers...I was open and honest. I figured we should not be afraid of our government, it should be afraid of us. If they were to try and kick me out, I would have gone down fighting. And thats what needs to be done. The United States was born because people didn't want to be treated unfairly. That spirit lives within me. As Americans, Freedom and equal rights, is what we deserve.

I'd also like to add the fact that if we can't trust each other on our own websites then who are we to trust? If gays are calling out other gays for bad things to happen, then maybe we don't deserve equal rights yet. However, I dont see this happening on an often occasion and it didnt happen to me.

You may also read over some of my threads that are related to this topic, they are very interesting in my opinion.

    Sorry cutie pie but

    (1) there are malicious people in every community.
    (2) Did the black community say they didnĀ“t deserve equality because there were some rotten apples who happened to be black?

Well MM tks for the input. I'm gonna check those forums out. I know this is a tough question for sure. I was just wondering about how others felt.
