At some point my parents didn't really care, but was worried about me being happy in this type of lifestyle. But they also seemed to be blissfully ignorant about it, thinking I would end up marrying my best friend which was a lesbian.

My mom found out at the age of 14. I asked "does it matter?" and she is like: "well no, you're right, it doesn't matter". But she worried about me. I tried to keep any of my issues to myself because she was already dealing with too many family issues, so I tried to be the perfect son(didn't even come close, lol!).

My grandmother does that! She'll bring out sentences like : Isn't she jealous that you see that other girl so much?; You don't see much of her these days; Doesnt she want to go on the trip with you?

When I finally met someone I wanted to bring home (10 years later) she pretended like the fury of her feeling cheated out of grandchildren never happened. I put her in 'time out' for a year, I was very, very angry at her. Come to find out the rest of my family was pretty pissed at her too and put her in 'time out' too. She was basically disowned for a year.
I got a tattoo ("Mama's Boy" in case you can't read it) to remind myself how much I love that crazy bitch and to also remember to take her out of time out.

My mom went to church for the first time in her life last Sunday cuz she found out I was gay.

My mom said "Ok." Then she later thought she might have said something offensive so she went to her priest to confess her sins, and outed me to him, and he from his reaction pretty much outed himself.
