Black Friday: What are you going to buy?

So I might buy something on Black Friday but want to decide what stores to check out beforehand.

    Criteria:

    1. Discount has to be substantial, not something like 10 % off

    2. Items that I don't have to fight over and wait in the morning for hours to get.

That's all. Already have my laptop. Don't care about a new television. Just want to get something nice and cheap.

    Thanks

Buying nothing. There used to be some really good Black Friday deals. But it's gone mainstream and now it's just a marketing gimmick to get people in the stores.

My bf and I bought a new LED TV thanks to Best Buy releasing their Black Friday deals early! icon_lol.gif

Good call GwgTrunks, I want to get a copy of the Dark Knight (can't believe I don't own it) and it would make a great gift.

SOCKS! Lol. Fred Meyers here has the annual sock sale where all socks are 50% off so I stock up. I am not sure if I will get anything else. Would love a new laptop but most likely I won't get one.

I'll need gas for the truck and definitely beer. I haven't thought about a menu and what I need to buy and marinate to grill this weekend. I cook/grill on the weekends.

Like most Americans living in Canada....driving across the border to find something. It's hella expensive here and the exchange rate will be AWESOME. So ANYTHING is a deal.

I'm just going to queue up at a Walmart and when the doors open at 4:00 AM, I'm going yell "SALE ON SKOAL AISLE 3!". I'll videocam it and sell the footage as stock to anyone who needs footage of a buffalo stampede.

Oh Yea - the first thing I want to do on one of the few days away from the office is to fight mad crowds looking for a bargin on something I don't need....

I'll be catching up on a few things around the house. It's a kick catching the shopping recap on the news though. icon_lol.gif

NOTHING malls in Florida are complete insanity as it is in the winter with all the tourists...let alone the biggest shopping day of the year.

I don't shop on Black Friday. My kids are teenagers and want money plain and simple. lol.

For the third year in a row I have written Lowes and Home Depot asking them to set up a Dad's Registry (like a wedding registry) where a guy can go in, grab a scanner and pick out all the things he likes/wants in various price ranges. Then when his significant other goes into the store they just look him up and pick out the items.

Two years in a row I have received a nice letter thanking me for my suggestion and they would take it under consideration lol. Its seems to simple to me what is the problem?
