Also, don't mix up thinking that Prop 8 legalized gay marriage instead of banning it. I did this when I first got to California and started drunken yelling at a bartender about how could he have up a NO to 8 sticker, which in turn drew the not so kind attention of many patrons.

What about guys taking off their shirts? Is that a NoNO, turnoff?

Depends on the bar or club, and also on the time and day of the week. Different places have different vibes at different times. The easiest way to tell is to just look around. But don't count the go-go boys in your inventory for social comparison.

I will admit this...at one of the bars in Detroit, I tend to get a little, how do I say completely effin wasted every time I go there. So...my shirt comes off 99% of the time when I'm there.

Oh yeah, and quit grabbing strangers crotches and playing with their nipples. I don't know why guys think this is acceptable behavior. To me, it's kind of a turnoff....and all the wrong guys do it!

Don't ignore somebody you know. At least give a quick hello, a smile, a brief conversation etc. This includes:

-that date or ex that you no longer see........even if the last time you saw each other wasn't that great, its best to be the stand up guy and be polite, rather than trying to avoid him all night.

-that guy who never returned your phone call....a wink works wonders

-that guy you've seen before and think is really cute, but since he is already talking to someone else, and so are you.............a wink still works wonders.

And never be rude or disrespectful to someone who comes up to you to talk, even if you are totally not interested..unless of course, they are vulgar and obnoxious.

Never bother the bartender with your babblings when he is busy, nor expect a big welcoming kiss, and don't wave your money at him to get his attention to order a drink .Never not tip. Conversely, occasionally you may run up against a bartender with a lousy attitude who doesn't like YOU and ignores you for no reason. No need to say anything. Go to another bartender, get your drink, and return to your original bartender with drink in hand. Smile like a motherfucker.

Never talk loudly and screech into someones face....in fact, if you are close to them, keep your voice low and paractically wisper.....

    1. Say things like "You dont know who I am.....do you?" We will fight.
    2. Bring your fat, annoying girl friends. They take up way to much space and Im not at a GAY bar to look at fat chicks.
    3. Portray yourself as better than me. Youre not. Youre not better than anyone.
    4. Go to the bar after staning in line for 5 minutes and say "I dont know, what do you drink" to the bar tender (this is directly from my bar tender friend).
    5. Dont complain when you go on to the "smoking patio" and say it smells like smoke.
    6. Take your shirt off if you need to keep your shit covered. I do, so should you.
    7. Keep your shirt on if you are politely asked to remove it. We wanna see the goods if its good. icon_biggrin.gif

That's a good one. Sometimes I look around and everyone is staring into their phones. And if you happen to find yourself standing next to someone you think is a cutie, don't automatically reach for your phone because you are nervous and don't know what to say.
