Joint strenghtening

    I need some advise on what kind of supplements should I get to strengthen my joints from all the abuse I do on endurance training and racing. I am currently taking Elations Juice. Too early to know the benefit of this supplement.

    An feedback is much appreciated.

    For joints that are taking a beating, I recommend good carbs and lots of potassium and calcium.

    Fish oil helps with inflammation in general so it will probably be somewhat helpful for joints as well. I have some joint discomfort as well but I'm not doing much endurance training. Fish oil works for me.

    I take glucosamine and chondroitin, but don't really notice much difference when i forget and go without them for a month or so. Sometimes I think eating healthy and lots of rest are really the only things that help.

    Running on soft surfaces like grass or dirt trails probably protect our joints more than any supplement.

    The herb Cissus has great joint healing property. Google it and you will get some good info.

    a nurse told me to take glucosamine chondroiti, msm, and fish oil...

    I've taken 2.5 weeks off from running and am still in pain. My doctor will give me the go ahead today or he'll have me come down and do an MRI today.

    In the meantime I've taken glucosamine Chondroitin for two months with no noticeable effects. I do take shark liver oil with really good effects, it works fantastic.

    Oh and someone on here recommended a foam roller for stretching.....So Amazing.

    Im a foam roller KING! lol.. I use it literally every day to warm up and prep my body... I don't see how it would help the joints though.. unless the presumed joint pain is actually muscle tightness/strain?

    Something I do is PREP my joints for work. I do this with motion with only body weight/no weight(+gravity)... Ball and socket joints(hip/shoulder), i do movements that rotate the ball and i also do swings... for my knees, i start off on the ground, legs at a 90 deg angle and simply straighten (plantar flex at the top if you want to kill 2 birds with one stone) and release slowly with an isometric contraction.. do the same with various thigh/floor angle relationships..
