You have to do some navigating on your own within this Centers for Disease Control site, but very comprehensive:

    CDC HIV/AIDS

HIV is contained in bodily fluids, like sperm. The virus enters through a opening in the skin or membranes. When I lived with an HIV+ partner I gave him BJs with a condom on him. My risk was considered low from giving oral, but still thought to be a risk, so we took no chances.

HIV is a virus that affects your CD4, known as white cells which are the ones that protect you from diseases, colds, infections, etc... The virus eats your cells until you become sick. U cant get HIV for having oral sex but is important that if your having it with someone infected you should use a condom before practicing the act of oral sex. The most frequent and common ways of getting infected if your a gay man is by having unprotected anal sex, blood transmision, or semen. By kissing a infected person not unless you drink a whole gallon of saliva of the person or the person and you have open wounds inside your mouth. I hope I had help you with the info I have since I am a HIV + patience. If theres anything else I can help with please feel free to email me or call @ 717-659-9800. I work side by side with the York City Beaureau of Health in York, PA. At this moment I am an outreach worker trying to get people to get tested for HIV in York. Any help I can get will be accepted, but no money, only people that would like to get tested. I can give you more info or my friend from the office can explain you more about it.

Thank You for this opportunity and hope to hear from you guys or gals out there that are scared of getting tested. Is very private and hurtless. We want to help safe lifes. We have the resources that you need to live older.

I also think its important to let people know that are hesitant in getting tested for HIV, that there are other tests available besides being stuck in the arm for a blood test.

Sure the "Blood" test is the most accurate of them all, but there is a mouth swab done at most clinics for FREE. And u get the result in 20 minutes.

I was in my prime when HIV first came out in 1985.. I was one that always practiced "Safe Sex" even before HIV was known.. What I am trying to say is, that the "Youth of today" think that just because there are major break-thrus in the treatment of HIV, and people are living longer, and normal lives, it does not mean that a gayman has the right to practive UNSAFE ANAL SEX.

I lost 45 friends in the 90's to HIV... Because they all had Unsafe ANAL sex.

I hope that some young men that read this will use a condom now and get tested.

And if your POSTIVE, that does not mean that you can just go out and "PLOW" anyone BB. The anti-viral meds that u might be on, that work to combat your infection work for you, but you are at risk of catching another strain of HIV if you are the bottom and you get another STRAIN of Hiv from another man..

Just cause your "MEDS" work for your strain, does not mean they protect you from a strangers strain of HIV..SO PLEASE, use a condom!

HIV is the virus that gives you AIDS. HIV is a virus that affects your immune system which is the one that protects you against viruses, infections and illnesses. Having oral sex with someone infected can get you infected but is not 100% guaranteed unless the person is really sick. But to be in the good side use a condom anyways. And no you cant get infected by kissing, sharing silverwear, eating from the same food or touching. It is transfer by blood, semen, sexual acts, and sharing infected needles. If you want more information go to your nearest CDC and ask for information. Eventhou I've been HIV + for over two years I still need to learn more about this virus. So my friends get tested and protect yourself before having unprotected sex. And dont be afraid of saying no if someone wants to have sex unprotected. Your life is more important than the pleasure.

I can't resist tossing in my two cents here. I met the man of my dreams in 1989. We had a date. Two days later I told him i was seropositive, fully expecting him to bail. he said; "too late, I'm already in love with you."

He finally abandoned me in out 20th year, I'm very sad about that, but I have the satisfaction of knowing, that he left me without catching anything from me, in two decades of making love.

In our case we did this by always using a condom in the early days that he was on bottom and I fucked him, (Try Pleasure plus or one of the super premium condoms by "ONE" brand condoms, it will be worth it, both in safety, and pleasure), but we stopped doing that and settled in on a me giving him head without a condom and on occasion him fucking me, with a condom.

I still think we belong together and I hope that that will be true again someday. It's always good to be able to know you didn't hurt someone by making love to them, nothing else takes precedence over that.

If you can't find One Condoms, order them online; http://onecondoms.com/
As the former San Francisco regional manager of Condomania Stores, I can give you my expert opinion. I have no ties, and am getting no renumeration for this endorsement.
