So I'm an undergrad at college right now, and I was thinking about changing my major to pre-physical therapy. I was wondering if anyone here is a PT and has any information about what you do/if you like it/(salary, if you want to share)/work hours? It sounds interesting, and I would need to change my major soon if I wanted to switch... Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

    Heya -

If no one responds here, try sending an email out to your college career office...they should have connections for you.

    Best of luck!

When it comes to this subject matter google will be your best friend.
You can find all the information you need by typing "physical therapist" into the search bar.

    p.s.
    Today's MoD is total hotness.

I have seen several PTs over the years for many visits each injury. Their offices were always pretty full and they have always charged my insurance companies a bundle. I actually thought about starting a 2nd career as one or after I retire. People are going to continue to get injured or have surgery and need rehab. If there is a PT program at your school the counseling office should have this stuff all worked out to sell their program to students. Good luck.

Well, Physical Therapists make really good money. And also you would have to go to PT school and get your doctorate, which equals more money! But Physical Therapy is a good profession. If you like helping people and are really interested in different types of injuries and performing rehabilitaiton for it then, the profession is for you. I think most PT's start out making at least $45,000. Work hours are very easy as well. I think most offices are open from 8 am till 5 or 6pm. Also the profession is open to various settings as well. Its very similar to Athletic Training, if that is offered at your school. I went to school for athletic training, and sometimes wish I would have did PT.
