So I need a lot of help with finding my motivation in working out and my commitment to it. It's so hard to be committed and motivated to do it. I get short burst of motivation.

I don't want to get back in shape and be healthier for other people (the aesthetic look) I need to do it for myself and I want to do it for myself, but I can't help but have these other thoughts of doing it for the benefit of other's viewing me as "hot" any type of suggestions would be great. thanks.

It's all in your head. You said it yourself.. You do it to be in shape and healthy. And that's all you need to think about. A healthy and fit body should be your priority. Looking "hot" is merely a secondary benefit.

Maybe you should look for a workout buddy that has similar fitness goals as yourself. That way you can keep each other motivated.

xrichxLooking "hot" is merely a secondary benefit.

The human body doesn't need to be muscular and ripped to be healthy. Having said that, it makes sense that to exercise beyond what would keep your body healthy will be in part to look good to others. Humans are designed to attract mates. Don't be so hard on yourself that a bit of your thinking is vanity based. As long as you keep it in persepective, there is no reason you can't be healthy for yourself and look good to others.
