Now, this is not for people who already don't watch TV. But for those who do, even just a bit each night, who wants to join me in a not-watching TV AT ALL for a week?

Does that include something I taped to be watched in the future? I do that because i hate tv in general, but program only good stuff for later viewing.

How bout dvd's and films streamed to the tv?

Yes, that is OK, cause I have got to have my Desperate Housewives recorded.
Who else wants to join us. This could be really cool. We can see how we kept ourselves busy, etc.

I didn't go to the trouble of putting Winegard's biggest antenna on an 80' tower just so I could not watch TV.

Considering my business and customer service involves the internet, I probably can't. But I'd like to for sure.

I just read about the story line with those two. What a trainwreck. If I were Kyle, I'd have given up such a long time ago. Good lord.

It wouldn't be difficult for me at all!

I watch just a few short hours of TV a week. I'd say approx 3 hours throughout the 7 days. When you're busy like I am there is just no time for TV!

No way in hell I'm going without Golden Girls either. But according to the OP, taping....the DVR....and watching it later is allowed.

But going without internet? NO WAY. I use it for finances....work...practically everything except, believe it or not, getting laid.

Not really hard to do, I quit cold turkey months ago and never looked back. I substituted all that time with being more on the computer though.

I'm game! But I will also be moving and unable to afford cable, so I'll be loving me some Hulu for the few hours I spend with tv.

I quit a good while ago, but then I came back. I don't enjoy watching it, I just don't have anything else to do. I actually download everything from the internet and watch it commercial free. I live on the west coast so I get to see everything 2+hours before everyone else here. icon_wink.gif

Hmm I would, but I like watching the news at night. Politics here in my state and country at the moment is better than any soap opera icon_biggrin.gif

That sounds interesting, as a member of the 18-24 age group I think it'll be interesting to see how I would occupy all of the time I would have been watching television. Besides any show I miss I can always catch on hulu the next week.

When you say no TV, do you mean that my television remains off for the entire week? Is it just programming we can't see?

Can we also exchange support messages to make sure we don't falter?

NO TV means no evening news, no TV on at all, in any room, any time, from Dec. 7-14.
