I just saw this video on I Can Has Cheezburger?:

...and I can't be the only one that's reminded of something very different, and yet somewhat similar.

I love the cat taking the time to groom and seemingly play with its own tail while hanging upside down from a door. "Well, as long as it's right here..." LOL!

Cats have remarkable balance. I once had a kitten, and when it was about 7 months old, not yet fully mature, it one day got up on the bedroom dresser ( a no-no) and from there jumped right on top of the open room door's edge. And then she sat there, looking totally nonchalant, like this was where she belonged. Cats!

Sort of a re-creation of David Carradine's last moments, no?

It's a bat-cat hybrid. Oh, the marvels of genetic engineering!

    Speaking of cat hijinks.

When I was a kid (sure maybe I'm just past "kid".), maybe 8 or so, we found a cat in our neighborhood... We held on to it to keep it out of harms way, while posting "Found Cat" fliers around our little neighborhood. It was uncommon to have neighborhood cats there, being in the true desert. Coyote, hawks, etc... Cats didn't survive there.

My brother and I begged to keep it after my parents decided it was time to send it to the pound. We were smarter than that - we knew what happened at the pound! So we were on a mission to keep this cat. We took some rope from the garage and "borrowed" some chicken wire from our neighbor. Ventured out into the wild and set up a little safe haven for the cat around a mesquite tree and tied it up. We would sneak out and feed/water it... well I think it was about the third day, we go out in the morning to check on her (we named her Skully, after the female detective from the X-Files)... she had managed to climb the tree and fall off... she hung herself. Very traumatic. icon_sad.gif
