For me, I HATE all orange vegetables. Carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, yams and pumpkin all make me gag. It is NOT because they are orange, it's just a coincidence.

Also, and far worse is cinnamon. I can't even stand the smell and can taste even the smallest amount in food. So, that rules out all kinds of good food and most stores during the holidays. EVERYONE has cinnamon brooms, candles, etc. in their stores and I have to turn-tail and run.

Think hypnosis would help? What is the food you wish you could have?

Tomatoes (the fruit...although I love tomato juice, sauce, etc.), guacamole (awful), onions, certain large mushrooms, yogurt (that sour milk smell is a turn-off), pies (except pizza pies LOL) and to a lesser extent, sushi (I can take it or leave it)

Garlic that hasn't been cooked beyond recognition. If I can taste raw garlic, I won't eat it.

I'm with Collegekid...I can't stand fish. My mom used to make me take spoonfuls of cod liver fish oil growing up and it's all I can taste every time I try to eat it. That and I remember the disgusting smell that permeated my fingers the first (and last) time I fingered a girl.

Sashimi...or as an umbrella term, raw seafood

I'm totally fine with the cooked andd semi-cooked applications. but raw seafood has a texture that I can't stand...

oh...and mussels and oysters...reminds of mush that's been bundled up...

Cretan Breakfast Soup and Menudo... they are both disgusting and the only things I've never been able to stomach. I hate not being able to conquer them... icon_evil.gif
