i drink a protein shake every AM. It is a complex blend, so it can be consumed any time during the day. Question: A colleague just told me that protein powders can be hard on the kidneys. Anyone know info on this or anything else re: protein powder?

Like everything, it's all relative. Just as one pizza won't kill you, but, 50 will, it's more about consumption.

It's best to let common sense be your guide here.

Way more dangerous to your kidneys would be acetaminophen and low water intake, or hypertension, or....being a fat ass.

Never forget, the single largest killer, by far (over 2 MILLION annually), is the obesity pandemic. If you know a fat ass, save a life; intervene.

    Obesity isn't a pandemic. It's a lifestyle.
