I'm perfectly healthy, I feel good, but, my body is absolutely burning up, I've the ac down to 19 (66.2f) and I feel hot, this has been going on for the last week..

I swear, slap a honey glaze on me and tomorrow I'm gonna be perfectly cooked and tasty to boot!

Anyone else go through this? I get it a couple of times a year where my body just can't seem to cool down... I could totally go for an ice bath!

It's hot flashes from being HOT. Seriously though, I get them too. I figured I was just "hot blooded". Ofcourse muscles are always burning something. It creates heat. I've been told I radiate heat some days like a floor heater. It comes in handy when sitting next to me in a cold movie theater.

I agree with GuiltyGear, but I also say you should as a doc.
That condition can be symptomatic of something cardiac or cardio-pulmonary, minor stroke, anxiety or an allergic reaction.

Ugggh! Hate dropping a buzz-kill, but better safe...

Yeah, it could be anxiety; the man has more bizarre fetishes than the late David Carradine! icon_surprised.gificon_wink.gif

na, I'm healthy, quite a few months ago I was having health problems.. turned out to be high blood pressure heh but everything else about me has been prescribed as perfect and my cardiologist says I've a heart of a horse icon_biggrin.gif am stuck on damned blood pressure meds though grrr

I've had this for as long as I can remember, it interrupts my sleeping too I can't sleep when I feel hot and uncomfortable... just an irritation of my body, my feet burn too sometimes which is an indication of possible thyroid problems (among other things) but again, perfectly healthy

I actually get the same thing from allergies. Late spring and late fall. Me temp goes up a couple of degrees for about a week. For me it's a pollen issue. Do you have hay fever or dust allergies?

Like mentioned above it could certainly be something more serious...would be a good idea to get it checked.

as someone who has always been cold-blooded (it could be 90 degrees in the middle of the night and i still have a down comforter from toes to neck), i went through a period where i had very similar symptoms over the course of a couple months. turns out it was a mix of anxiety and high blood pressure... the latter probably caused by the former. it got to the point where in addition to the "hot flashes" and stuff you mentioned, i was experiencing dizziness, redness on my palms, neck, and chest, and very rapid heart rate even at rest. i don't know what your current situation is, but if you're stressed or maybe just a regularly anxious person like myself, be aware that this can easily become a physical issue as well as an emotional one. luckily i was able to fix the problem by eating healthier (even though i thought my diet was pretty good, there's always room for improvement), working out regularly (try yoga?), and actively avoiding stressful situations (easier said than done). i got my blood pressure down from 160/90 at its highest to 119/76 and all it takes is a little mental effort and physical preparation. hope this helps!

No I'm not an anxious person either, I've been told that a few times, I'm very relaxed, carefree, have nothing to be anxious about and I don't stress and worry about things... I'm alllllll good icon_smile.gif
