fat burning

    I am sure that this question has been asked before.. but I couldn't find it in the forums....

    I have some belly fat and some oblique fat that I want to lose... I don't want to do a lot of cardio because I am trying to get bigger at the same time...

    What do you guys suggest I do? Particular workout / diet / supplement ?

    Fat around the waist is the hardest to get rid of. You just need to maintain proper diet and exercise, and eventually your midsection will lean out. I've gotten rid of my belly fat. But I still got some love handles that are lingering.

    I think you should focus on building lean muscle mass. Your fat will gradually burn off during the process. Remember, resistance training also burns fat.

    Don't be afraid to do any cardio. Instead of spending endless hours on an exercise bike, you should to HIIT or some other form of burst movement exercises. "Sprinting" on a stair master is pretty good. It will also help you build up your leg muscles.

    And don't forget to do a variety of ab exercises. The more developed your ab muscles are, the more noticeable they will be. I don't consider myself "ripped". But my abs are developed enough to show through the small layer of fat I have.

    So yeah, it's a gradual process. Don't expect to see results overnight. Just eat right and workout hard. icon_cool.gif

    The past year i have been pre and post my work out doing 15 minutes on the stationary bike. Gets the blood flowing pre and stretches muscles post. I have lost over 20 pounds this year and almost down to a flat stomach (I know my abs are under there somewhere)!

    Try total body training. Instead of hitting say, Chest on monday, Back on tuesday, Legs on Wednesday, etc....Do everything all In one day...Pick 2 exercises for each muscle group and do them back to back with minimal rest. This is what you call Circuit training and is very effective in burning fat.
