I've just been wondering what are the different body times. For example, some people are naturally lean but would have a very hard time putting on mass. I'm curious about the different body times--names and effects-- and I've been wondering what mine was. I know for a fact I put on mass very, very easily. For example, I can notice change in my body after only a week's training.

I have lost 80 lbs in the past two years, then put on 15 in a MONTH when I quit drinking and decided that every piece of sugar belonged in my pie hole. Lost about 4 of those pounds but I need to get my cardio back up.

I do have to work very hard to get into and stay in shape.

    Your score is 2.17.
Your body is closest to a Mesomorph.

I wonder how accurate that little survey is. And what was with the "laid back/dynamic/worrisome" and the "emotional/physical/intellectual" questions? Do those answers really determine body type?

Yeah, those questions were kinda out there. Not sure how accurate this is. I'm not even sure what your "score" is supposed to represent.

    I got 2.08, Mesomorph.

    Your score is 2.25.

Your body is closest to a Mesomorph.

I would have placed myself in the ectomorph category. Perhaps a meso/ecto would be more accurate.

I can notice my stomach getting tighter after a week of cardio, but I'll gain it back after. I love to eat.

I don't think I would be considered lean body type because I have extra fat around my thighs and hips.

Classic meso bordering on supermeso. I was studied for it in the late 80's.

    Ha!

    Your score is 2.08.

Your body is closest to a Mesomorph

    I´m probably ecto meso...

This is very similar to, though simpler than, the ayurvedic doshas:

    http://www.indiaoz.com.au/health/ayurveda/bodytype.shtml

    Vata :

Physically such people are either very tall or very short, non- muscular, with thin and bony limbs and have a quick gait with short fast steps.

    Pitta :

A moderately well developed physique with muscular limbs and a purposeful, stable gait of medium speed.

    Kapha :

A thick, broad, well-developed frame and large, long limbs go well with a pleasant, deep and resonant voice with low, slow, rhythmic speech.

    2.75

    Super Ecto

    icon_biggrin.gif

"..........Aerobic and other activities (sports, dancing, etc.) should be kept to a minimum, at least until you are happy with your weight and looks."

this "quiz" suggests that the endos are emotional, the meso's are physical and the ectos are intellectual.

    haha.
