How old were you when you first discovered you could grow a legitimate ear to ear beard?

24 here and still waiting, I was hoping to get one from Santa, but he failed me once again. Maybe next year ...

Hm, about 19, I think.
Don't give up on one too soon, Melos. My first beard looked like crap, but I continued to let it grow and it finally filled in after a month or more.
Some guys give up and shave it off too soon. Some guys will never be able to grow a full beard. Mine looked like MaleFeet when I was younger. Now it's full of gray.

Can't grow a full beard or a decent mustache. I can only grow a nasty looking goatee.

Takes me months to grow just a good half beard. Makes me mad, but I like hairy guys which I'm finding don't always fancy a guy as hairy as them self. As for the hair, I'd love to grow more. maybe I'll have more luck in the next life.

I've got the goat and chops nailed down pretty good, just waiting on the filler between em. It's slowly starting to make it's way, but when I observed my brothers growing up, I knew I never had a chance. My oldest brother is 36 and still can't grow one. My other brother is 30 and is getting close.

Don't know. I let my beard grow at 21 at it filled up all over. But since I never tried to grow it out before that, I don't know exactly by what age before 21 I would have been able to have a hairy face if I tried. My gf at the time wanted me to have a beard, so I grew it and kept it while we went out. Now, I pretty much grow it or shave it depending on the preference of the person I date (if they express a preference on the matter).

Some guys won't be able to grow facial hair. Others yes. For me, it takes about 8-10 days before I look like I've been stranded on an island for a month. Good luck with yours, if that's what you want. But I really don't think it matters that much.

I can do the scruffy almost-goatee. Add a white ball cap and a cargo jacket and I look like a film student.

Oh wait...

Wanting to buy beard, send mails with price quotes.

around 17 but I never let it grow too much back then. Nowadays, I can have a full beard in about 5 or 6 days!
Be careful what you wish for though, I wish I didn't have to shave so often and the hairs I get on my face are coarse and it gets crazy itchy at times.

PICTURES! PICTURES! WE WANT PICTURES...... of your connected "Treasure Trail and Chest Hair"....

I grew my first full beard at age 20. It came in as a BRIGHT, BRASSY RED! Looked like the cat was curled up on my face and neck! Now...my beard is much lighter, strawberry blond with a few grays....but I keep a clean shaven look for my own comfort and I hate the transition time for growth...ITCHY!!!

25 here and still waiting, but I dont like beards, they're creepy looking, I do like goatees and some assortment like that. I don't like bald/shaved head look, its also pointless to me. If you do have a shaved head, please have goatee lol Just my opinion though.

not gonna happen for me. Just enough facial hair to look disheveled when I don't shave for a couple of days. Most of my beard is under my chin and I don't care for the Amish-look enough (not at all) to give that a try.

I would grow goatees or a thin chinstrap/goatee combo when I was in my early 20s - never really tried to grow a full beard until a few years ago (mid 30s) and BAM - it just kinda exploded ;)

I don't know. I always used ot shave and then school work took over my life and I'd end up with a respectable beginners beard that I would shave off because either it itched or I was eeing my parents.

Anyway I'll take a stab in the dark and say 22.

I'm 39 and still can't grow a full-on beard. Must be my Powhatan genetics. *shrug*

I had a mustache when I was 14. Can't remember when I had my first beard, but I can grow a pretty decent one in a week, an even better one in two weeks.

oddly enough I have very hairy legs and forearms, but very little on my chest probably from the native american part of me

still waiting on that...
