When eating peanuts, do you flake off that thin inner skin between the meat and the shell? or do you eat them with the skin still on?

I flake it off, but I've read there are antioxidants in the skin.

-not a good idea for me. Both my sister and I have allergen to the nut family. The flake wouldn't hit the floor fast enough before you would have to dial 9-1-1.

No skin for me. I just don't like the texture.

And honey roasted peanuts are really good. Eating the plain salted ones get kinda boring after a while.

Welcome to my world! What sucks is that I used to really love peanuts, especially honey glazed or chocolate covered. Now I can't even smell them without my throat closing up.

It's been about 10 years now since my allergy to nuts developed.

I am truly a child of the seventies. We basically ate peanut butter every day, and we loved peanuts. My best friend's mom would buy a huge vat of Peter Pan peanut butter from some co-op every month. She had nine children and the big vat of peanut butter would be gone within the month.

We also used to walk to the bakery almost every day to pick up a new loaf of bread for his family. Yeah, the bread was ten cents a loaf....shows how old I am.
