I've already found a new years resolution - I want to be able to do the human flag by this time next year - does anyone know what i need to focus on in my gym routine or know of a training guide to make this happen?

This is a video of current Guinness World Record holder doing this move, very impressive!

My second resolution is to get around to uploading some pics

OMG and my resolution was to be able to do handstand push-ups. It never fails, there is always someone around to top your best.

Google "train human flag". First up are some videos, then a discussion on CrossFit.com that points to an extensive tutorial on the Beast Skills website:

Dominic Lacasse also set the world record in 2007 for longest duration:

Don't know if that record has been bested since then.

D'ailleurs, Lacasse est canadien...ouais, un mec craquant...
