I just watched the movie Beautiful Thing. I loved it! ....and not just because I've always been a Mamas and Papas fan....

    It made me cry.....a lot!

I guess this isn't much of a forum topic....haha...the movie just really touched me.

I re-watched Mr. Holland's Opus earlier today. Stupid Richard Dreyfus always makes me cry at the end.

I remember seeing it years ago...I didn't remember much about it...I paid closer attention this time. It's a bit hard at times to catch the dialogue with the accents, but it's worth trying!

I'm pretty sure you'll love it. It's a touching film. I haven't seen it in many a year, though I even own it (came in a double pack with Sebastian, a Finnish film - I think - I found so bad I didn't get more than 30 minutes in before I was fast forwarding). Would be so fun to have a movie night with a few select RJ members... I would only pick them for their rapier-like wit.

This was one of the first films I ever saw depicting gay people, teens, just coming to tems. I was probably right around Ste and Jamie's age, and this film blew me away. I re-watch this every couple years. I highly recommend it.

I love this movie and the ' dream a little dream of me ' slow dance at the end. the black girl and her cooky love for mama cas was also hilarious. * swoons *
