Holiday Chocolate Binge and Crash

For the past three weeks I have worked a lot... At the end of each workday for the last few days I have eaten about a pound of chocolate and crashed to sleep early!

    Anybody else experience this before?

I've been working a lot and feel wiped of energy when I get off. Usually I would work out for an hour and continue my day...

Holiday blues perhaps? Or, chocolate addiction wearing me fat?

You'd yer fun. Stoop! Stoop, now!
LOL, that was my ReadHeadGuy and LILTanker impersonations. icon_wink.gif I'd suggest you stop now only because of the slippery slope of eating high calorie food like that right before bed. It could get habitual especially cause you are doing it to "unwind." You'll be the classic story of that fit individual who thought he'd just "unwind" with some chocolate and work out to counter it, but slowly "unwinding" gave way to not countering and eating other "things" he shouldn't. True, I may just be a worry wart, but from what I read, I don't like the look of it.

    chocolate is highly addictive.

I rarely buy any because when i have some i won't stop eating till there's none left.

i also get hungry at night because i eat several small meals throughout the day.
So i have cereal, or yogurt, banana or some mixture of those things.
I think it depends on your metabolism too , if it's fast or slow.

Right, right, and right. I am not eating enough during the day...hence, the munchies at night. And, I am going to start buying more healthful snacks and leave the chocolate at the store, along with the booze too. icon_biggrin.gif

I hardly usually eat unhealthy snacks, drink alcohol because I simply do not buy it.

I am breaking the chocolate habit TONIGHT. icon_biggrin.gif lol Like a drug addiction method, I am going to quit cold turkey. Thanks guys!

    Wow ... talk about counterproductive
Chocolate is like that really obnoxious friend you can't stop hanging around because he's super gorgeous and knows all the right people

It's addictive ..... the theobromines in chocolate have a calming effect
There is also a lot of caffeine in chocolate
this and the high sugar content bring you way up
but when you exercise your body gobbles that sugar up immediately
and your blood sugar plummets ..... making you crash

Save the chocolate for valentine's day

Yeah, the crashes from chocolate and refined sugars makes me feel ill, mentally and physically.

    No more holiday chocolate!
