In my experience with the world wide web, I have come across numerous individuals and groups, with weird and interesting names, screen names, love handles etc. So my Question is, what's in a online name? is it for identity? projection? etc etc

    n8698u

    n8…my name.

I wanted my account to be N869, but then i thought if I made N lowercase, I could add 8u on the end and make an ambigram.

    n8698u flipped over is n8698u.

Plus, I have read many books on Taoism, and i’m always trying to find yin/yang balance in my life. n8698u is like a yin/yang.

An ability to connect the name with someone's(group's) pics, rhetoric, or personality is important.

My screen names must be unique, reflect some of my interests, protect my privacy, be short and easy to remember and write, and lend themselves to an even shorter chat or thread nickname.

I'd really like to be Art Deco again, as I was for years on a gay BBS, but in the gay Internet world, proposing Art Deco returns an automatically assigned SN of artdeco6121398213468318293, hardly a snappy name. icon_sad.gif

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I have never met a Rocky that wasn't muscular or in good shape. Just like most people I know named Virgin usually aren't that. The same way with people I know named Gorgeous.

Mine is just a nickname I've had during boxing. The coach started calling me the nickname because of my hits lol. I'm part Irish and so its Irish hand grenade, and then of course I was born in 1984 heh.

I was really getting into bouldering when I found this site.
There was this guy called Baldrick in the show Blackadder.

A bit far fetched I know...

First local agency that scouted me in my teens. Funny thing is I didn't sign with them but I liked the name Ciarsolo icon_razz.gif

"Webster" is on the street sign outside my window.
And, conveniently, it also means someone using the "world-wide-web."
Because it's often already taken by someone else, I added numbers to it until it got accepted.
So, I guess that most of it was a happy accident.

Being an artist who works out, loves the outdoors, being physically active, AND living in San Francisco (1997-2004) when I first created a screenname, it became, "FitArtistSF".... kinda lame, I know... -Todd

I couldn't think of a name, which was rather weird given my profession

Blond because I'm blond all over.

Couldn't go with blonds have more fun - although we do.

izgd is a version of is good.
