About a year ago I stopped, simply because I am not a heavy sweater and don't really have a heavy smell. I also like guys with a manly smell. I do put it on if I am meeting someone important or whatever, but normally not any more.

    YOU?

I always use an antiperspirant/deodorant, but an unscented one. I hate to wear scents, but neither do I want to smell rank. My goal is to not smell like anything at all.

Exactly! That's because we use unscented deodorant. icon_wink.gif

    Yes, I use deodorant.
Anyone who doesn't, and thinks he doesn't stink, is only fooling himself.

A few years ago, one of my gym friends was commenting that he never used deodorant.
Well, no kidding ! There was a big brown cloud following him around the gym.
I sent a note to him telling him that he needed to use deodorant.
It was probably the kindest thing anyone had ever done for him.

Another time, I was in a club, when a hot guy on the other side of the room and I spotted each other. He came over to where I was, and I was almost knocked over by the stench. I couldn't get away from him fast enough.

Well, you are wrong. Not everyone has strong scent glands.

Every morning. Now I might wash it off before certain activities, which I won't enumerate.

Yeppers. I do. I swap between deoderant brands every so often when my body gets use to the chemistry. I am still peeved at the makers of Degree gel. Of all the deoderants I have ever used, it worked the best for me and my body without the mess of a stick. And then they go and do something stupid like stop producing it. Now I go between Gillette Gel and Old Spice High Performance Solid (messy but works the best for me).

I haven't in a while.... only because I forget to buy it.

At the gym is when I do my sweating - and it would be pointless to use it there.

I don't really sweat (Other than my hands and feet)

Yes and everyday. Esp before leaving for work and then in gym. Though I don't smell badly but still even a little bit is too much for me. Don't use anything that can be spotted from a distance but something mild like Gillette Icy Blue.

I'm guessing you are probably the one who is wrong. I've had guys tell me they didn't use deodorant because they didn't need to before. Believe me, they needed it!!

    I personally use unscented.

I do not use deodorant ever. I stopped years ago because I feel it is an unnecessary capitalist tradition. Most deodorants are unhealthy as well.

When I do sweat, most men and women find it sexy too!

    Just saying...

i think more often than not people cannot smell their own funk: so they think that they do not smell.

guys, please do use even if you shave the hair under yr arms. and especially during the warm months.

I use deodorant once a week, whether I need it or not! Actually, I use tons of antiperspirant, the "deodorant" is just a cover-up scent and is for amateurs baby. I hate to admit, but I get rather bad flop sweat.....I attended a High School reunion, and even though I wore a black shirt you can still see the sweat spots in the photos all over facebook......ugh!

I use AXE and really enjoy it. I tend to like those with more of a "clean, fresh" scent. I'm not a heavy "sweater" so it all works.

I also like a few other brands. Right Guard and a few others don't do much for me.

i use deodorant but never antiperspirant ( i stopped years ago because of the aluminum content - aluminum deposits in the brain being linked to Alzheimer )
I don't mind sweating, but i hate stinking.
Speed Stick high endurance deodorant is what i use right now. .

I'm with xassantex, I only use deodorant and never antiperspirant for the same reason. It's not natural to apply a product that stops a natural occurance (sweating).

I use a deodorant daily out of habit but the fact is, if you shower daily and wear clean clothes, you won't stink. There are the rare people who, because of body chemistry, get sniffy, but they are the exception, not the rule. Change you gym clothes daily; that's what really stinks.'

The obsession with this started in the '50s. The ads asked accusingly:
"DO YOU HAVE B.O.?" (The inference was that it wasn't polite to say "body odor.") Madison Avenue defined a problem that we didn't know we had. I have to admit: I've always found the smell of clean sweat to be a total turn-on.

Always when I'm going to a meeting or a formal big event.

But not on a daily basis. Its unnatural to smell powder fresh all the time. Like a lot of things nowdays, I haven't been brainwashed into thinking that I need stuff.

Never if I anticipate being intimate with a guy......a fresh shower is all I need.

No amount of deodorant will prevent stink when I am physically working especially during the summer and besides, the guys I work with smell worse than me.

I think it has something to do with diet too. Eating less meat helps prevent rank stink and eating more fruits, vegetables and grains promotes a good stink.

Mostly everyone who has "smelled" me says I have a very "manly" scent. Go figure.
