Webster666 saidFor me, money represents security, and represents happiness.
I'm not talking about wealth, just having a steady supply that is enough to pay the bills, with a little left over.
Not having enough, induces panic.
So, I strongly disagree with the OP suggestion that money is something you shouldn't worry about. In fact, it makes no sense at all, since you need money for almost everything, unless you're an inhabitant of the Amazon rain forest.
I kind of agree with Webster and I kind of agree with Mystic. While a sole focus on money will lead to nothing but things at best and madness at worst, money does NOT mean happiness. However, the more money you have, the greater freedom you might have. That freedom can lead to doing things that can give an instant gratification or a long lasting joy. Flash in the pan happiness or bliss. Money is necessary to live, but it is not the be all-end all to happiness.
As for Mystic's topic question, for me at the current stage in my life, a great, small circle of friends (nods, thinks of the Broken Hearts Club friends) that I can depend on and who can depend on me.
