That I know of, there has not been one single person to of made the advancements this young Republican did; he opened the door for advancement of gay rights. Even though your work did not help me at all, you are a shinning light in American gay history. You or your achievements are not forgotten Harvey.

Harvey Milk was a Democrat, and Arnold the Republican resisted Harvey Milk Day by vetoing it in 2008..

Geez Pattison, could you have at least looked it up in Google first?

Sorry but from what I've read he was a Republican. But I can understand democrats changing that, just as Christians changed that Darwin took it all back on his death bed. But as for Arnold, I'm really not interested, his not American, so he is not at the top of his tree, he can never move onto President, as Mr Reagan did, and before he was even in power, he was able to achieve something Carter could not, and that was to get the hostages released. Gosh I was still so young back then, and that man scared the shit out of me; just as he did the terrorist who held the hostages.

but I did ask my american partner and he told me Milk would have to be a democrat. I asked why, and he told can you imagine a republican being elected in SF one of the most left wing counsel's in the country.

But he did not say for sure, he was assuming with SF being so left wing. But if SF is so left wing, how come marriage between to people of the same sex got overturned?

If I'm wrong, I'm not embarrassed, as no man is perfect, not one.

You know I have googled, and it tell me nothing about him being a republican, or a democrat. I'm not going to read everything written about him, because I'm not that interested.

But the democrats here beging so compassionate, and caring for mankind, and all homosexuals will forgive me if I'm was wrong. But I was going by an article I read in the states that talked about him being a republican in small business, and being a homosexual was interfering with that, so he got into politics, and I went from that, But hay I was also only a child by the time he was dead.

I know I've had another scream at me, but his fare from perfect, so I've taken no notice.

Regarding Arnold, being a Republican, and he married into that family the Kennedy's. One thing I've noticed about Republicans, I never heard them talk in such a hatful way about the democrats, as the democrats do the republicans. So it was a shock to me to read all the hatful things democrats at RJ have to say, and it so blind to. Knowing American Republicans for most of my life, this hate was a shock to me, as I never seen it in the Republicans I've always known, and many of them where and are Mormons.

I've also noticed a Republican has no trouble dating a democrat, but hate for many democrats get in the way of this union ever coming to pass; as sad as that is.......

In fact I started this thread in just at a bisexual democrat once again. inciting hate for the republicans, and once again putting the blame for all that is wrong in America on the Republicans, yet failing to see the detriment the democrats also have been.

I myself sit on the fence , I belong to neither side, but I do find it hard to be silent to all the hate.
