"Kristy Lee Roshia was arrested on December 19 in Kaneohe, Hawaii, by the U.S. Secret Service for allegedly making death threats to our nation's First Lady Michelle Obama. Roshia was charged with making the threats and for assaulting a Secret Service agent as well. The woman also claimed, she would "blow away the whole Oval Office," according to a court affidavit.

The death threat was originally made in mid-November during one of several telephone calls that Roshia placed to the Secret Service in the Boston, Mass., area. Apparently, according to published reports, Roshia had been making belligerent daily calls to the Secret Service since 2007. In November of this year, the woman not only threatened to kill the First Lady but a Secret Service agent and U.S. Marines as well.... "

I think that the Obama's are more at risk than any First Family in history, simply because of the color of their skin. There are lots of people who are so filled with rage over a black presidency, that they'll do anything to stop it. Hopefully, the Secret Service is taking no chances what so ever.

When Obama was campaigning, it always worried me when he was speaking to huge crowds outdoors. And, with him vacationing in Hawaii, anytime he's out in public, it seems like a big risk. Nothing we can do but hope for the best...

I know Web. They only have to get it right once. The Secret Service has to be right all the time.

But then the same could be said about having a republican in the White House, and the same goes for the actions of many but not all democrats.

But ain't all people who call America home "privileged?"

In another thread you stated that white people think themselves as privileged! I being as white as snow that has just touched the ground. Have never thought of myself as privileged, just for being pure white, and blond too.

icon_neutral.gif....The Lincoln's and Kennedy's were clearly at just as much risk or arguably more...possibly even the post-war Grant and the Washington families were at just as much risk.

The presidency is a risky office regardless of skin color. It's politics. No reason to make the Obama's living martyrs.

No it's the way I seen it. I myself am colored blind. I don't care what colour Obama is, it's of no interest to me, and to think this backward attatude coming from a nation that is a world leader.

So to me the Obama's in the white house being threatened, is no diffrent than a republican being in the White House being threatened my mad democrats; you don't have to be black or mixed race in the Whitehouse to be at risk.

Oh and just because one may have an opinion on politics, does not mean one has a hidden agenda, or even an agenda. I am neither left or right.

It seems to me Obama is not like any other President before him; that he's black is an added risk, as there are those that see that as reason enough behind their actions.
