Oh my god, please tell me you are about to play a race card with me so I can completely deem you the absolute most worthless addition to this site since G_Force.

I've had the Charleston, Made in Carolina song stuck in my head all day and pasted the first youtube that came up in the search. But I love how you keep sniffing around for shoes to fit.

    WOW. That's fucked up, Michelangelo.

You never bevel AND emboss. Just pick one, it's over kill. And the outer glow could be lowered in opacity.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but its my understanding that 'faith' doesn't attempt to prove anything. At least the concept in itself as its defined... in regards to how its applied... it may very well be different.

Well, dealing with untruths / insanity and The Conformance Theory / Brainwashing the statement holds true.

You have to be nuts to believe things that are not true. When everyone else is forced to conform to that untruth, it doesn't make it any more true, hence, the saying, in a insane society a sane man must appear as insane in order to be regarded as sane. I.e., if you're hanging out with a bunch of religious nuts / cult folks there's incredible pressure for conformance, AND, the indoctrination / brainwashing begins at a very early age, so, it's easy for folks to say they "believe" rather than be rational.

Maybe faith in something (even yourself) is what keeps you out of the asylum.

But, then, crazy people usually don't know that they're crazy...

    Crazy, huh ?

I am inclined to fall in with pitt451, faith in and of itself does not attempt to prove anything, but rather implies connection despite uncertainty. Is there some context to the quote I am missing?

    @ Chucky
arguably rather than having to be nuts to believe things that are not true, one must believe things that are not "true" to be nuts. Surely there is no such thing as a sane man in an insane society.

well, we all know the big N was mad (syphillis wasn't it?) . . .

    . . . quoting a nutter to expose the nuttiness of others is a bit of a non-starter . . . unless you're a mouthbreather . . .

. . .as for faith, it was famously called evidence of things unseen . . . but

. . . secular folks believe such things and in a such a way all the time, yet they are still admitted to the bar, elected to the presidency, and considered upstanding . . .

. . . where is the outcry against their conspicuous inanition?
