I just signed up here, haven't even gotten my profile all worked out yet. I just want to start a workout plan, but all these require equipment!

Are there any plans here that do not require the equipment? I feel, however, that I may be more motivated to work out if I had a gym membership.

I spend 8 hours at work and my job only takes a few minutes each night. I do have my days and nights backwards because of this (11pm till 7am).

I usually eat "breakfast" at night because it is offered for free by my workplace, but I go to bed about an hour after I eat. I don't overdo it, usually a biscuit w/ white gravy (not much mind you), either two strips of bacon OR a sausage patty, and I drink 8 oz of orange juice to go with that. Is it healthy to eat these foods then go to bed within that hour? If not, how do I balance my days and nights so I don't do this any more?

I'm on a decent diet I set up for myself, I just think the exercise will help me lose these 40 lbs that have been stuck to me for the past ten years of my life. I was only worried about the breakfast foods before bed thing.

I would love to hear from anyone on this, it would really make my day!

Sorry for the double post, but I did have a question:

How many of you guys have done Power 90? A friend let me borrow it and said it was really good, but how well does it actually work? After doing one workout I must say I feel as if my muscles are gonna blow up on me!

Also, is it good to do Power 90, then do P90X?

Now when it comes to weights and lifting, I'm a total weakling and just wanna build myself up. (20 lbs is too much for me to finish my reps in P90's exercises.)

How will I know when I can lift heavier weights?

OK lots of info, hard to cut through to the situation. You work nights?

    (1) Working out is more about knowledge than equipment (though equipment is important).
    (2) I am interested/disturbed by what a healthy diet might look like. You need to know now that diet is the majority of body composition. Eat well, look good. Biscuit, gravy and sausage patties with orange juice is a lot of carbs and a lot of fat. If you are eating that every day you need to have a VERY high metabolism to not gain weight. Basically it´s not healthy to eat those foods every day (or at least, you are not going to lose weight doing so, especially if the rest of your diet is similar).

Remember: the secret of this is CONSISTENCY. you need to do it right and keep doing it right. month long efforts will mean nothing.

    Good luck!
