Not advertising this for attension, GG E-mailed me this information today!

Dew to the toxic atmosphere here (GG's word), and racial abuse he has endured here in recent times, and it's been allowed to slip by, and the fact that threads have been allowed to be started and go on, just to insight hate towards myself, he has had enough, and moved on.

GG has givern me some names of people here he would like to have his E-mail address, and even tough I myself do not consider a few of them my friends, I will do so.

It happens... I've come and gone from RJ because of the "atmosphere", for lack of a better term. I try to look for the good and not entertain the bad, but it's kinda hard when the bad is constantly in your face and you have to search for the good.

You know, RJ is not a prison, and GG has a lot of pride too.

It's particularly tough here for men of color. You have to have thick skin to tolerate RJ forums, for sure.

I've had my run ins with GG, but I think he's an admirable guy. I hope he doesn't stay away for too long.

I've always had trouble with the site owner's lack of attention to specific threads, and the fact that he allows OPs to delete entire threads and, in turn, everyone else's voice, is borderline criminal. I realize he's probably busy spending the advertising dollars we're putting into his pocket, but making a few easy changes would strengthen the site's reputation, immensely (bring on a few trusted users as mods, and eliminate user's ability to delete threads).

There aren't many other gay forums out there. Connexion sucks shit, while most of the others are nothing more than sex sites. Our only option is to start a competing site that operates with a little more sense and decency, or take RJ with a grain of salt, which is what I've decided to do. After all, it is only a forum.

I think thats really unfortunate. GG is a cool dude and a valued part of this site. I hope he returns in short order!

You know matey, you have just touched on a point GG made to me, the lack of the moderators actions. Also in a few days time RJ will be 100% free again, no more sponsorship.

Matey I 100% agree with you, but as I've said he "has a lot of pride!" But if I was to walk away right now from RJ. I'll get to walk away with one true friend from RJ.

There are other members who have gone through the same thing. They didn't argue back and forth and keep a thread going on and on with more insults.

A toxic atmosphere is created when idiotic and hateful things are said not only about race, but also age, looks (or lack of it), political views......anything. I don't think one prejudice is any more or less toxic than any other.

Sometimes the quietest ones are the smartest. Being vocal about your feelings is different than being confrontational, disrespectfully aggresive while trying real hard to sound like the nice guy. No amount of cute anime pics can cover that up.

"You reap what you sow" You have the option of ignoring abuse or stooping to their level, becoming just as bad as them, showing your true colors and fighting with them tooth and nail. Some people consider that admirable. I think its foolish.

Ah the incentive to augment the ignore list.

Here's the deal. GiGi is a decent man, intelligent, and caring. Of course, that makes him the target of the cowardly and stupid. Personally, I hope he will be back but I certainly share his sentiments.

Oh, and I'm with McGay, I absolutely love him. If he didn't seem so much like a brother it'd be incest, well I'd..................

This is no different than society in general. There are those who run outside the mainstream of society and often they have loud voices but we learn to pick and choose those with whom we align our allegiance. There's no need for a moderator when there are things like the 'ignore' feature and our own ability to choose those with whom we wish to share our thoughts.

I hate to see anyone leave being upset and hopefully GG will return and take advantage of opportunities to share thoughts with the rest of us 'main streamers' and ignore those who offend him.
