It's about time. Now we need about 2 billion more scenes like that to catch up to all of the hetero love-making we've watched all our lives on TV.

I think it's great that this was done. It was tasteful, romantic, and presented with class. Kudos to ABC daytime soaps! icon_smile.gif

ABC is always a trailblazer at "hot button" issues- gays, minorities, etc. They did the scene tastefully as well- it doesn't have the stereotypes that are so often untrue. Images like this will hopefully help unveil that being gay isn't a perversion. It's not just about sex but intimacy, love, and all the components of a heterosexual relationship.
Laws can be an effective way to evoke change. And that seems to be the focus of most of the gay community. But what might be better is to change public perception and with that laws will evolve and prejudices will dissapear. The only way for perception to change is through media and through more men who don't fit a stereotype (not saying that men who do are any less useful in the movement, etc) to come out of the closet.

This is what I like about Soap Operas is that they have a great audience of conservative grand-mas and stay-at-home moms. This is the crowd we want exposed to the normality of gays.

My 89 year old grand mother knows more about gays and gay sex bc of her :"shows" that she watches from 11 AM - 2 PM than I would like her too hahahaha.

I've been watching this story line on youtube. It's amazing how they have written it. From Officer Fish being afraid to come out because of his family, to being out to his family and roommates and co-workers. Not to mention that Kyle and Fish are HOT together. I just get all warm and fuzzy every time they kiss. This is for sure how gay couple should be portrayed. And like someone said, this exposes mom's and grandmas around the country a taste of what love between to men can be.

Oh yeah, and Scott Evans, the brother of Chris Evans is gay in real life.

Well the story is really sweet but this scene does seem a little 'lesbionic' if that means anything. I mean, two men in real life would probably rip off each others shirts and have wild sex.. I am pretty sure the target audience here is straight women, hence the extra tenderness.

That being said, it was super HOT and a major step for the country in the right direction! The guy playing kyle is beautiful and the other guy is hotness too. He is gay in real life and has a hairy chest!!

It's a soap opera. You have to start with the expectation of "blah".
What is relevant is that this is OUR "blah".

Haha it was kinda lesbionic. I was eating Honey Nut Cheerios while watching it.
Hot but where are the grunts hahaha. More like an OMG will somebody think about the children, hahaha.
