Want a small taste of Australia? Sure you do..

I have been playing Australian Rules Football for quite a few years now and trying to keep it alive in the States. Footy Clubs are forming rapidly all over the country so if you are interested, visit www.usfooty.com to find a club near you.

I can go on an on about this awesome sport, but just watch these vids for a taste of the madness. I gotta warn you though, this is not a sport for the faint at heart, and def not like gridiron.... Cheersicon_twisted.gif

No mention of the short shorts?

One of the local PBS stations shows Aussie rules football and its fun to watch even if I don't have a clue what is going on. One of the great disappoints of my recent trip to Australia was that it wasn't football season. Meeting liltanker did help ease my pain though.

I saw a few matches and played some pick-up games when I studied abroad in Australia. It's a great sport and I loved playing it. It was a little hard to get used to, but I would play in in a heartbeat if it were played in the US.

    Go the 'PIES!!!!

20th anniversary of 1990 Premiership in 2010, lets do it again.

    Good old Collingwood Forever
They know how to play the game
Side by side they stick together
    To uphold the Magpies name
    See the barrackers are shouting
    as all Barrackers should
    For the premierships a cake-walk
    For the Good old Collingwood

At the end of the first hundred years of Victorian Football and now the AFL, Carlton was the team with the most flags under their belt.

So Sorry guys but the Blue Bloods are "Number One"; Go Carlton! Geelong are pussy's, Collywobbles are bogon's, and stone the Crows; but yes the men are hot.

You know I should feel some love in me heart for the cats, as my family's history started off in the Geelong aria just over 200 years ago as large land owning pioneers, and some of my best friends go for Geelong too, but they had their Grand final last year, time to move on.
