    ...Wait.

Life is whatcha make it, and the older dudes'll be all over this post any minute now, I had better depart.

I'm only 60, and still not done being a teenager yet. icon_wink.gif

At least those parts that represent silliness, and thinking out-of-the-box, seeing the world unconventionally, reluctant to become part of the System quite yet. But I hope also picking up a bit of experience, and dare I say it, a little smarts along the way.

Grow in wisdom, but never in age. May your horizons always expand, your outlook never contract, your life a limitless adventure.

And how I envy you! CONGRATS!!!

Happy birthday! And yes, your 20's are better. In fact, I'd have to say every decade brings with it something better than the last!

Accentuate the positive. Eliminate the negative. I think that was a song. Hahaha!

I think this will be my best decade yet. I'm young, independent, do what I feel like and have no responsibilities to tie me down. Yea, I think 20s are the best.

It's the 30's that I think will suck. Mundane, same old same old.

Wow!! Then why go on after the 20's??? LOL!!

    20's are good,

    30's are better

    40's are amazing

I will be 46 this month and I feel healthier, happier. Life just keeps getting better.

Big tip, make the gym an important part of your life.

    All my best to you.

wow .. I can hardly remember but .. yup. better. Live life with gusto kid! Have fun, but don't be foolish. Responsibilities increase, but you can still make it fun.

10 years from now you will wonder how it all went by so fast. Get your education, start your career, and leave room and time for the things you love to do!

Get wisdom, enjoy friends .. icon_rolleyes.gif I am running out of suggestions icon_wink.gif

What to tell a twenty-year old?

    Dont do drugs!

Try not to drink too much. Realize you can die. When younger people tease me about my age, I tell them, "hey at least I made it to this age. There is no guarantee you will." That usually shuts them up cuz to younger people death isnt even an option yet. But too much drink, a car accident, and bam you are dead...dead, dead, dead, no take-backs, dead.

Try to plan for the next five years. Sit down and think about what you want to with them, where you want to be at the end of those 5 years. Then research, study, ask questions to see if that plan is realistic and feasible.

However, no matter how much you plan, when you get into your late 20s, you will go thru a psychological passage. (You know how you expect babies to do certain things at certain ages. Well, that doesnt stop with babyhood. We all continue to mentally develop and change. Probably the most famous adult passage is a man's mid-life crisis. But back to you). At some time from 28 to 30, you will reexamine your life, either consciously or subconsciously, and you will either stay the course you had choosen, probably at about the age you are now, or you may tear everything up, decide you dont want to do any of it, and head off in an entirely new direction.

    Good luck.

Two years in and yes, I can faithfully say its been better than the teen years. The decade of your 20s is, in my perspective, the years you truly get to decide what you want professionally, educationally, and romantically. Have fun!

For those that think 1-19 sucked, your attitude is such that 20-end will also likely suck.

    CONGRATS

    never look back

and yes, 20s are better. but if you thought your teens were hard... just wait.

it's harder, now you have to descend into adulthood... but... it's better.

you get to more fully become yourself, and what's better than that?

Hahaha...best opinion yet. It comes down to self-efficacy doesn't it? You make your opportunities from what you have and make the best of your own situation.

The twenties are so exciting because you will be independent, experiencing things for the first time and learning about life more deeply.

    Enjoy yourself, but play wisely.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Your 20's are a fun time for most. You hopefully have some form of personal freedom for the first time from your parents rules, your health is generally pretty good and hopefully you have put yourself into some reasonable line of work that you like and can make a decent livingat.....it is the start point for your life on your own terms.... and OH YEAH...you get to learn alot of new "lessons" and personal responsibiliies.....the further you get into your 20's and the closer you get to 30, you will one day notice that you are saying or doing something that your parents always used to bitch about...and you will just laugh and get a new appreciation for some of the "wisdom" they have....
most guys actually finally grow up and mature into the real guy they are, between ages of about 25 and 30......Enjoy the journey, the point of the journey is not the "arrival" but the "side-trips" and detours along the way...icon_cool.gif

If I could back to my 20th birthday and be an out, gay man, my whole life would have been different. Since you are out and 20, you have everything I would want. Make a plan and live into that plan. If you don't, you will wonder where the years have gone. Enjoy life to the fullest accomplishing the things you want to be remembered for by those you will leave behind someday. Then you can say, "No regrets!"

    Happy Birthday!
