    Soon, spring will arrive.

January is the month where I see the beginning of hope. In Edmonton, we gain nearly an extra hour of daylight by month's end.

    I know how you feel.

I saw snow once, when I was 8 years old.

I remember taking off my gloves to better form a snowball. It was cold AND wet. That's ridiculous! My hands were all red...

And then again, this week, it's been like 65 during the day PLUS wind chill!

    Empathy.

and the yellow brick road to Spring is made of snowstorms, drifts, near absolute zero temperatures, frostbites, ice, slush ...

We have snow on the ground, too, but it's a bright, sunny day. Actually, the best you can wish for in winter.

Yea here in Boston we just finished three straight days of snow that piled up to about a foot. That after 14 inches the weekend before Christmas. I love Boston, but I'm beginning to love it only in the summer. Am I too young to become a snowbird and spend my winters in Florida?

Hahaha... Some gay men are all about size... 14"... That's scary! I just returned from NYE in Wisconsin. Now back in southern california. I moved out here 14 years ago, and I do miss the changing of the seasons, however; I do not miss the cold and chill. I took a picture of the external termp sensor on the car showing "-2 F". BRRRR

Are you guys kidding? They keep predicting snow for Pittsburgh, but we just don't get it. I'm horribly let down every time.icon_sad.gif Having grown up nearer Lake Erie, I miss the winters of going to the movies and not being able to find my car when I left the theater due to all the lake-effect snow. Good times.

I won't even begin to complain how cold it is here in Atlanta, because I can not imagine having to shavel snow several times a day and being snowed in for days. I feel for you all who live in those parts of the US that gets snow.

It is suppose to snow in metro Atlanta on Thursday and Friday and our offices will most likely be closed. A little bit of snow and the town shut down completely. What a bunch of wussies.

I just leave the Jetta encased in its snow tomb for as long as I possibly can... in hopes that some sun will do the work for me. It's not out of laziness, but out of defiance. Luckily, I can walk to work, the subway, and a grocery store. Wait... why do I even have a car???

As I said on Facebook the other day: This Winter Wonderland crap is good for about two weeks and then even soul-sucking Florida looks good.

Yeah I live in one of the heaviest snowfall regions in the US.

I'm genuinely surprised if we go a single year without a storm that knocks the city out of operation for a few days.

I need to move... Im a warm weather guy at heart

I know we'll get no sympathy, but except for yesterday ( when it got sunny and 70 warm) its been cold since Christmas even in the Southernmost City of Key West. Nights have been down in the 50s days have gotten to low 60s. While I have a newer house with insulation and heat and cooling. Where I work is a frame building with no insulation and no heat so its been 57 in my office for a week.

New Years was an exception. We had a one day heat warm otherwise the dancers at Bourbon Street might have shrunk to invisibleicon_sad.gif
Anderson Cooper would have seen Sushi wearing a fur coat icon_biggrin.gif

You are all correct.... Spring is coming. Just hope sooner than later.
